There is no official, independently tested list of the 100 best Google Workspace add-ons. Google’s Marketplace is a changing directory, not a consistent head-to-head ranking. The useful way to choose is by the job you need done: the current Marketplace includes options for mail merge, signatures, diagrams, scheduling, accessibility, document management, analytics and CRM. The products below are examples to investigate, not a ranked top 100; confirm each listing’s features, supported apps, price and availability before installing.
What counts as a Google Workspace add-on?
Google distinguishes between unified Google Workspace add-ons, which can extend multiple Workspace apps, and Editor add-ons, which focus on Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms. Google’s documentation says Editor add-ons are limited to desktop use. Compatibility therefore depends on the add-on and the Workspace surface: a listing that works with Docs should not be assumed to work in Gmail, Calendar or mobile apps.

Google describes Marketplace apps as ways to extend Workspace and connect it with other products, including examples such as AI assistance in Gmail or Sheets, CRM, project updates in Chat and video conferencing tools in Calendar. Check the listing for the exact apps and workflow it supports.

This is a task-based shortlist of products named in the Google Workspace Marketplace snapshot observed on October 3, 2026. It is not a ranked or complete list of 100. Google’s featured, recommended, popular and top-rated placements can help with discovery, but they are not a shared independent test of product quality.

- ABIS BOOK
| Task | Products named in the Marketplace | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Mail merge and outreach | Mailmeteor; Yet Another Mail Merge; Mergo | Personalization, scheduling, follow-ups, tracking, automation, sending limits and the data the tool can access. |
| Electronic signatures and PDFs | Signeasy; DocuSign eSignature for Google Workspace; Smallpdf | Which Drive, Docs, Sheets or Gmail file flows are supported and whether the signature process meets your needs. |
| Diagrams and visual collaboration | Lucidchart; Lucidspark | Lucidchart is listed for diagrams such as flowcharts, wireframes and ERDs; Lucidspark is described as a virtual whiteboard for idea gathering and real-time collaboration. |
| Calendar scheduling and meeting workflows | Reclaim.ai; other Marketplace listings cover appointment booking, SMS reminders, time tracking and transcript or summary workflows | Whether the tool handles your scheduling or meeting task, which Calendar or meeting surfaces it uses, and its data practices. |
| Accessibility checks | Grackle Docs; Grackle Slides | The listings describe checking and fixing accessibility issues, with references to WCAG and PDF/UA. Review the output yourself; an automated add-on alone does not guarantee compliance. |
| Document management | AODocs | The listing describes Drive document management, metadata, retention policies and low-code configuration. Check whether the controls suit your organization’s workflow. |
| Marketing analytics data | Supermetrics | The Marketplace lists it for moving marketing data into Sheets. Check the data sources and reporting workflow you need. |
| Customer relationship management | Salesforce Connector; Streak; Bigin | Compare CRM depth, the records and activities synchronized, and how the integration fits your existing process. |
| Cross-service collaboration | Marketplace listings connect Workspace with services including Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Asana and Jira | Verify the particular listing and supported workflow; a service being named as a connection does not establish that every integration has the same capabilities. |
Some listings displayed user-count-style figures in the Marketplace snapshot—for example, AODocs at 4.69M+, Mailmeteor at 4.97M+, Signeasy at 4.41M+ and Lucidchart at 4.147M+. These were Marketplace labels observed on October 3, 2026, not independently audited totals or comparable measures of quality. Recheck the listing before relying on a count.
How to choose among similar add-ons
- Start with the task. Define the specific workflow you want to improve, such as sending personalized email, collecting signatures or scheduling focus time.
- Confirm compatibility. Open the product listing and check the Workspace apps, device types and account setup it supports. Do not infer compatibility from the product name or category.
- Compare limits and controls. Check the current price and free-tier limits, team features, administrator controls and any usage caps on the individual listing. The products above do not have a common price or capability baseline in the Marketplace snapshot.
- Review access and data practices. Read the requested permissions and the vendor’s data-handling information. Decide whether those permissions are appropriate for the account and information involved.
- Check organizational requirements. If you use a work or school account, your administrator’s settings may affect whether you can install or use an app.
- Test the actual workflow. Where your organization permits it, verify the result with a low-risk document, calendar event or dataset before adopting the add-on for routine work.
How to find and install an add-on
Google Workspace Marketplace Help says users can reach the Marketplace from the web Marketplace, from Extensions in Docs, Sheets or Slides, from supported Workspace sidebars and from Meet Activities. The exact entry point depends on the app and add-on.
Rank #2
- Open the Google Workspace Marketplace or a supported in-product entry point.
- Search for the task or product, then open its listing.
- Check supported Workspace apps, features, developer, current pricing, permissions and availability for your account or region.
- Select the install option shown on the listing and follow its prompts. If installation is blocked, ask your Workspace administrator whether the app is allowed.
- After installation, open the relevant Workspace app and locate the add-on in the supported menu, sidebar or activity area specified by its listing.
Google Workspace Marketplace Help states that the Marketplace offers apps to automate tasks and use products such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Calendar more efficiently. Google also says featured apps are reviewed and curated; that statement applies to featured apps and should not be read as a blanket security review of every Marketplace listing.

Choose the listing that directly matches your highest-priority workflow, then compare its access requirements, limits and compatibility with your account. For example, start with a mail-merge product if outreach is the problem, not a CRM simply because it also touches customer data. No single add-on is universally best across different tasks or organizations.
