The title worth pursuing is therefore the one whose route fits your time, access and preferred look. Permanent achievements and story titles are reliable long-term goals; event titles may be unavailable after their activities end; and the Xbox-exclusive “The Xenless” is only claimable by eligible Xbox players. This guide, current to October 16, 2026, explains how to compare them without treating any title as universally “best.”
What a Zenless Zone Zero title actually does
A title is a label you can select for display on your player profile. The community commonly calls these rewards Inter-Knot Titles or Inter-Knot IDs. They are accolades: they signal a completed objective, a story milestone, participation in an activity or, in one documented case, access through a particular platform. They do not increase an agent’s stats, unlock combat abilities or improve rewards from battles.

That distinction changes the meaning of “worth unlocking.” You are not weighing damage, stamina efficiency or account power. You are weighing the time and access required to earn a cosmetic badge against how much you like displaying it. A difficult title can be valuable to a completionist but irrelevant to someone who prefers a clean profile. Conversely, an easy event title can be the best choice if its design matches your profile and you can still obtain it.

The four main title routes
| Route | What the route represents | Availability questions | Usually suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Achievements | Completion of listed objectives, sometimes involving repeated play or specific challenges. | Is the achievement permanently tracked, and does the current title entry still show the same condition? | Completionists and players who enjoy collecting milestones. |
| Phaethon’s Story progression | Advancing the main narrative and meeting story-related milestones. | Is the chapter available on your account, and are there prerequisite chapters or modes? | Players already following the story who want a title with narrative context. |
| Events | Participation in a named, often time-limited activity. | Has the event ended, and does the event or title screen still provide an obtainable route? | Players active during the event window or collectors prioritizing limited rewards. |
| Platform-specific rewards | Titles distributed to players on a particular platform or service. | Does your platform meet the eligibility rule, and is the claim window open? | Eligible players who want a title that reflects their platform. |
The route tells you how to plan, but it does not prove a title’s current requirement. Title rosters and conditions change with updates. Treat the text shown in the current in-game title entry as the final checklist before committing time.

Achievement titles: the dependable collection route
Achievements are the clearest long-term route because they are designed around objectives rather than a short event window. Depending on the title, an objective may be a one-time milestone, a specific action or a pattern of repeated play. The Zenless Zone Zero Wiki’s title reference includes historical examples connected with arcade achievements, but that community-maintained page should be used for orientation rather than as an exhaustive, current catalog. Direct requirements can change, and older examples do not establish that the same title is available or earned in the same way today.
When an achievement title is worth your time
- You already meet most of the conditions. If your normal play has nearly completed an achievement, the remaining effort has a low opportunity cost.
- You want a permanent project. Unlike an event, a permanently available achievement can be scheduled around your own playtime.
- You enjoy recognizable proof of mastery. An objective-based title can communicate a particular accomplishment more clearly than a general story label.
What to check before grinding
- Read the exact current wording in the achievement or title panel; do not rely on a remembered requirement from an older version.
- Check whether progress is account-wide or tied to a particular mode, chapter or difficulty setting.
- Estimate repetitions before starting. A title that requires a small number of targeted actions is a different project from one requiring routine participation over many sessions.
Do not assign a universal “hardest achievement title” without checking each live condition. A title that was demanding in an earlier version may become easier after new systems are added, while a mode-specific objective may be inaccessible to a player who has not reached its prerequisite.
Story titles: progress with a narrative payoff
Story-linked titles come from Phaethon’s Story progression. Their main advantage is that the required play usually advances content many players already intend to experience. You are not diverting time into a separate collection activity; the title is attached to a chapter or story milestone.
Why story titles are efficient for many players
Story progression can be a good first target if you have not finished the relevant chapters. The effort is easier to justify when the same quests provide narrative scenes, new areas or access to later systems. It is also easier to plan than a limited event because the chapter’s availability is stated in the current game version.
The availability distinction to watch
HoYoverse’s Version 3.2 “Their Secret Histories” announcement, dated September 9, 2026, states that Season 3 Chapter 3 is permanently available after the update. “Permanent” means the chapter is not scheduled to disappear with an event timer; it does not mean every player can access it immediately. Account progression, prerequisites and the title’s own condition still apply. Check those requirements in your client before assuming that reaching a chapter automatically grants its associated title.
Event titles: the route most likely to be missed
Event titles are tied to participation in a named activity. Their value often comes from timing: an event title can document that you were present for a particular update, but the same timing makes it the least dependable route for a new or returning player.

How to judge an event title
- Open the current event notice and identify the activity’s stated end date.
- Open the title’s own hint or reward description and confirm that the title is still obtainable through that activity.
- Check entry requirements, such as story progress, account level or access to the event mode.
- Calculate the remaining sessions needed. If the event ends before you can reasonably finish, choose a permanent title instead of spending resources on an uncertain target.
Version 3.2 includes limited-time events with listed end dates. Those dates apply to the activities, not automatically to every title that appears in the update. Do not assume a title remains claimable after an event ends unless its current in-game entry explicitly provides another route. A past event title may remain visible in a collection list while no longer being obtainable.

- You can complete the requirement comfortably before the published end date.
- You value the event’s visual theme or its record of a particular update more than permanent availability.
- You have already unlocked the event and its prerequisites, so the incremental effort is small.
Newer system-linked title groups in Version 3.2
The September 9, 2026 Version 3.2 announcement identifies new title categories related to Diary of an Orbie Parent, Agent Trust, Enemy Target and Enigma of the Labyrinth. These names indicate that the rewards are connected to specific gameplay systems rather than being a single generic story checklist.
The announcement confirms the categories but does not publish the individual requirements for each title. That matters when comparing effort: you can identify the system you would be playing, but you cannot responsibly label one category easy, hard or fastest from the announcement alone. Open each title’s hint in your current client and look for the required activity, progress counter, prerequisite and expiration state.
Choosing among system-linked groups
- Choose a familiar system. If you already spend time building Agent Trust or exploring the mode associated with Enigma of the Labyrinth, a title from that group may require little additional work.
- Separate category novelty from rarity. A newly added category may look unusual without being limited or difficult.
- Check whether the system is permanent or event-bound. The category name alone does not establish availability.
The Xbox-exclusive “The Xenless”
Xbox Wire’s producer-authored announcement, dated May 23, 2025, says Xbox players could claim the in-game title “The Xenless” for free after the official launch. The same announcement identifies Zenless Zone Zero’s arrival on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
This is an eligibility reward, not a universal free title. If you play on another platform, you should not plan around claiming it. If you are an eligible Xbox player, verify the current claim instructions in the Xbox or in-game announcement and confirm that the title has been added to your account before switching profiles. Platform availability and claim procedures can change, so the dated announcement is evidence of the original eligibility, while the live client determines what you can claim now.
A practical “worth unlocking” scorecard
Use the following four questions for any title you are considering. They keep cosmetic preference separate from assumptions about difficulty.
Rank #3
- Easy clean up with little to no adhesive after repeated use
| Question | What to record | How it changes the decision |
|---|---|---|
| How much effort? | One-time objective, story chapters, repeated mode participation or an unspecified condition that needs in-game inspection. | Prefer goals that fit sessions you already play; avoid a grind whose time you cannot estimate. |
| How long is it available? | Permanent content, an event end date or no stated availability. | Prioritize a closing event only when you can finish it; otherwise choose a permanent route. |
| Who is eligible? | Story/account prerequisites, mode access or platform restriction. | Remove titles you cannot currently access from your short list. |
| Will you display it? | Color, wording, rarity to you and fit with your profile style. | Cosmetic payoff is personal; a lower-effort title you love can beat a rare title you will never use. |
For a simple decision, rate each factor as low, medium or high for your account, then select the title with the best combination rather than the highest single rating. Keep “rarity” separate from “difficulty”: a title can be uncommon because it was time-limited, not because its objective was technically demanding.
How to unlock and equip a title without wasting time
- Open your profile. Enter the player-profile screen where your displayed Inter-Knot identity is managed.
- Open the title or Inter-Knot ID list. The exact label can vary by platform or update; use the profile menu’s title-related entry.
- Filter for locked entries. Read the hint attached to the specific title instead of relying on a category name or an older guide.
- Record prerequisites and availability. Note chapter requirements, mode access, platform eligibility and any event end date.
- Complete the route. Follow the achievement, story, event or system activity named by the hint.
- Return to the title list and select it for display. Confirm that the reward is marked obtained, then save the profile selection according to the current interface.
If a title remains locked after you believe you met the condition, check whether the requirement includes a final claim step, a separate reward screen or a specific version of the activity. If the hint and your progress still disagree, capture the wording and consult the game’s current notices or support channel; do not repeat a long grind based only on a third-party list.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Are Zenless Zone Zero titles missable?
Some can be effectively missable because event activities have end dates. A permanent story chapter or achievement is a different case: you may delay it, but the route is intended to remain available under the current game rules. Platform rewards are also restricted by eligibility, so a player on another platform may never be able to claim the same title.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minute“Missable” should therefore be read in three ways:
- Time-limited: an event closes and its title may no longer be obtainable.
- Progress-gated: the title remains available, but you must reach a chapter, mode or system first.
- Platform-limited: the title is reserved for an eligible platform or service.
Before an update ends, check the event notice and the title hint together. A collection page alone cannot tell you whether a listed reward is still claimable.
Best targets for different player priorities
For completionists
Start with permanent achievements and story milestones, then track event titles while their activities are live. This order reduces the chance that a closing event displaces a goal you could complete at any time.

For players who want a title quickly
Inspect your unlocked list for a condition you have already satisfied or nearly satisfied. A short remaining objective is a better target than a newly introduced system whose requirements are not yet clear.
For story-focused players
Prioritize Phaethon’s Story titles associated with chapters you plan to play. Season 3 Chapter 3 is identified as permanently available after Version 3.2, but confirm the title’s individual prerequisite in-game.
For event collectors
Read every end date and finish the title before the activity closes. Keep a record of which event titles you actually like; collecting every limited reward is only worthwhile if the visual or commemorative value matters to you.
For Xbox players
Check eligibility for “The Xenless” and the current claim flow first. It is a platform identity reward, so its value comes from that association rather than from any gameplay advantage.
Common mistakes when chasing titles
- Using an old list as a guarantee. Historical wiki entries can explain the system, but they are not proof of today’s requirements.
- Confusing a visible title with an obtainable title. A collection entry can remain listed after an event has ended.
- Calling a title objectively best. Display appeal, rarity and effort depend on the player.
- Ignoring eligibility. Platform, story and mode restrictions can make an otherwise attractive title unavailable.
- Grinding before checking the hint. Read the current condition and expiration state first, especially for Version 3.2 system-linked groups.
Bottom line: which titles are worth unlocking?
For most players, permanent achievements and story titles offer the safest value because they can be pursued on your schedule and fit normal progression. Event titles are worth the effort when you like their theme and can finish before the stated deadline. The Version 3.2 groups—Diary of an Orbie Parent, Agent Trust, Enemy Target and Enigma of the Labyrinth—are promising targets only after you inspect their individual hints, because the update announcement names the categories without publishing every condition. Xbox players can consider “The Xenless” if they meet the platform requirement. In every case, choose the title you will actually display, not the one a guide calls universally hardest or rarest.
