Quartet of Time is a forthcoming independent album of music from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, not a newly announced Nintendo game. Arranged for string quartet and performed by ATLYS with ZREO: Second Quest, it is being recorded now. Its creators plan to release tracks on streaming platforms before the full album, but have not announced a release date.
What is Quartet of Time?
Quartet of Time is a full-length album of Ocarina of Time arrangements for two violins, viola and cello. The June 2026 announcement identifies string quartet ATLYS as the performers and ZREO: Second Quest as the independent production partner. The collaborators previously worked together on the 2023 album Fair Winds & Following Seas feat. ATLYS: Music from The Wind Waker. Zelda Universe reproduced the project announcement on June 27, 2026.

Fisher’s comment also mentions a remake being announced, but it is a statement in the album announcement, not independent confirmation of a Nintendo game announcement. It should not be read as evidence that Nintendo unveiled Quartet of Time.

When will the album be released?
Recording is underway, and several arrangements are complete, according to the June 2026 announcement. The plan is to release finished tracks individually on streaming platforms, then release the full album. A physical edition is also planned, but the announcement provides no date, format or retailer. “Coming soon” therefore does not mean a specific launch date has been confirmed.
Who is making the album?
ATLYS performs the arrangements, with ZREO: Second Quest producing the project. The announcement describes ATLYS as formed in 2016 and says the group has performed more than a thousand live performances; those figures are claims in the project announcement, not independently audited statistics.
