If the option is missing, first check that you are signed into the Google account with the membership and identify who bills you.
Why the cancellation option may be missing
There is no single documented cause for every cancellation problem. The most useful first check is who handles the billing: YouTube TV’s official guidance says memberships billed through a mobile carrier or internet provider must be cancelled with that provider, not in YouTube TV’s membership settings.

You are looking in the wrong billing channel
Check the bill or payment record to see whether YouTube TV or a carrier or internet provider charges you. For provider-billed memberships, contact that provider and follow its cancellation process. YouTube TV also says these memberships cannot currently be paused through YouTube TV. YouTube TV’s provider-billing help explains this exception.

You are signed into a different Google account
The cancellation controls appear in the account’s Membership settings. If you do not see the membership or its Manage option, check the profile photo and switch to the Google account associated with the subscription. The documented flow places cancellation under Membership; checking the account is a practical way to diagnose a missing control, not a separately stated official cause.

A payment or account issue needs attention
YouTube TV’s billing troubleshooter covers declined payments, payment-method problems and requests for additional Google account information. These issues may affect billing or access, but YouTube TV does not say they always prevent cancellation. Use the official billing troubleshooting guide for the specific payment or account issue you see.
How to cancel a directly billed membership
- Open YouTube TV in a computer or mobile web browser and sign in to the Google account that owns the membership.
- Select your profile photo, then go to Settings > Membership.
- Select Manage, then Cancel membership.
- Choose Cancel and follow any remaining on-screen prompts to confirm.
The official route is documented on YouTube TV’s cancellation help page. If you want to remove only an add-on network rather than end the base membership, the same page explains that add-ons can be cancelled individually.

What happens after you cancel
Cancellation stops renewal, but it does not usually remove access immediately. YouTube TV says, “When you cancel or pause your membership, you’ll still have access to YouTube TV until the end of your payment period.” The same applies when cancellation occurs during a trial: access continues through the end of the trial period. If you need access removed sooner, YouTube TV directs you to contact support through its help page.
When the paid or trial period ends, recordings in your library expire after 21 days. Keep that timing in mind if you need to watch or otherwise account for recordings before access ends.

If the controls still do not work
- Confirm that the signed-in Google account is the one with the YouTube TV membership.
- Check your bill or payment record to identify whether YouTube TV or a provider handles billing.
- If you are directly billed and the cancellation controls are still missing or fail, use the official cancellation help page to contact YouTube TV support about your account.
A YouTube TV Community post describes a user who could not find Manage under Membership, but community replies are user-generated and may not be verified or current. Treat them as reports of a similar symptom, not as official policy or guaranteed fixes.

If you only need a break, YouTube TV offers a separate pause option for eligible memberships. A pause lasts from four weeks up to six months, begins after the current billing cycle, stops access and new recordings while active, and automatically resumes at the normal monthly price when it ends. You cannot extend a pause, though you may resume the membership and pause it again. Because billing restarts automatically, choose cancellation—not pause—if your goal is to prevent future renewals. Provider-billed memberships cannot currently be paused through YouTube TV. See YouTube TV’s membership help for the current controls and terms.
