Show, don’t just claim, how you actually filmed, edited, or otherwise made the 24/7 stream—and connect that work to specific content on your channel. YouTube’s general appeal guidance applies; it does not publish a separate evidence checklist for 24/7 livestreams. Your appeal should make your real creative contribution and the value it adds easy to understand.
What evidence should you submit?
Build the appeal around genuine production evidence that demonstrates your role in the content. YouTube asks creators to show how they filmed or edited content and to connect that demonstration to other material on the channel. YouTube’s appeal instructions do not prescribe a special evidence package for continuous streams.

- Show actual production work. If you filmed footage used in the stream, show relevant original footage or how it was captured. If you edited the material, show an authentic project timeline, edits, or other steps from the process. If you created original visual or audio assets, explain and show how they appear in the stream.
- Explain your contribution. Describe what you made and how it changes, contextualizes, or adds educational or entertainment value to any source material. Be specific rather than relying on a general statement that the content is original.
- Connect the evidence to channel content. Identify the stream or related videos that use the work you show. Give the reviewer a clear link between your demonstrated process and the published result.
- Use only truthful examples. Show material and workflows that genuinely exist and were used. Equipment, a streaming schedule, or a staged demonstration does not by itself show that the channel adds original value.
- Address the concern in Studio. Briefly identify the channel and the reused-content issue described in your notice, then focus the rest of the appeal on relevant production evidence.
This is a practical way to apply YouTube’s general appeal instructions, not an official 24/7-stream checklist. What will be relevant depends on the channel’s content and actual production process.
How to make the appeal video
Follow YouTube’s current appeal requirements rather than sending a separate document or a longer explanation. YouTube says the appeal video must be less than five minutes, video-only, unlisted, uploaded to the channel being appealed, and submitted from the creator’s account. It must use a supported narration language or include English subtitles that are not auto-generated. Do not put the appeal information in the video description. See YouTube’s appeal requirements for the current details.

- Check the notice and deadline in Studio. Open the channel monetization overview and note the deadline shown next to Start Appeal.
- Plan a concise demonstration. Choose a few strong, relevant examples of your actual filming, editing, or original contribution. Decide which channel videos or streams each example relates to.
- Record the explanation and evidence. Keep the video under five minutes. Make the connection between the production work and the published content explicit; avoid spending the time on unrelated channel history.
- Set the video to unlisted. Upload it to the channel under appeal, keep it video-only, and ensure any English subtitles are not auto-generated if you need subtitles to meet the language requirement.
- Submit it through the appeal flow. Use the creator account and follow the Studio instructions. Do not substitute a video description for the appeal itself.
What YouTube’s reused-content policy assesses
The policy applies to the channel as a whole, not only to one 24/7 stream. YouTube says reviewers may examine videos, the channel description, titles, and descriptions to understand how the creator made, participated in, or produced the content. Monetization may be removed from the channel if content violates the policy or if reviewers cannot clearly tell that the creator made it. Read YouTube’s channel monetization policies.
In the policy, reused content is material repurposed without significant original commentary, substantive modifications, or educational or entertainment value. A continuous schedule alone does not answer whether the content meets that standard. Explain the creative work behind the stream and how viewers encounter your contribution.

Reused content is not the same question as copyright
YouTube states that reused-content assessment is separate from copyright enforcement and is not based on copyright, permission, or fair use. Permission to use material, or an argument that its use is lawful, therefore does not by itself show that the channel adds the original contribution or value the monetization policy assesses. If the notice raises a copyright issue as well, treat that as a separate matter; do not assume evidence addressing one issue resolves the other.

Do not confuse reused content with inauthentic content
YouTube’s July 15, 2025 update renamed “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content” and clarified that it covers repetitive or mass-produced content. YouTube said the update did not change the reused-content policy. Keep the policy named in your Studio notice at the center of the appeal.

When is the appeal due?
YouTube gives creators 7 days to appeal a scheduled YPP suspension and 21 days to appeal after a suspension. The applicable deadline should appear next to Start Appeal in the Studio monetization overview; check the notice and your own account rather than relying on a general date. If you miss the scheduled-suspension appeal window, the channel may be suspended. After suspension, YouTube says a creator may appeal within 21 days or reapply after 90 days. See the appeal guidance and YouTube’s monetization-status information for the applicable process.
Evidence that helps—and evidence that is not enough on its own
| Evidence or claim | What it can show | What it does not establish by itself |
|---|---|---|
| Authentic footage, editing steps, or project timeline | Your actual filming or editing process, when tied to the published stream or related channel videos. | That every item on the channel meets monetization policy. |
| Original commentary, assets, or other creative work | What you personally contribute and how it adds context or value, when demonstrated in the resulting content. | Compliance if the appeal does not connect the contribution to identifiable channel content. |
| Permission or ownership statements | Your position on rights to use material. | That the channel adds the original commentary, substantive modification, or educational or entertainment value assessed by the reused-content policy. |
| Streaming equipment or proof of a 24/7 schedule | That you have equipment or run a continuous stream. | That you created the content or added value to it. |
Common appeal mistakes to avoid
- Making unsupported claims. Replace “I own everything” with concrete examples of what you created and where it appears.
- Showing a workflow that was not used. The appeal should document the real production process, not a demonstration assembled for the appeal.
- Focusing only on rights or permission. Those may relate to copyright, but YouTube says they do not decide the reused-content question.
- Discussing one stream while ignoring the channel context. Link your evidence to relevant channel content, since reviewers may assess more than the stream named in your explanation.
- Missing a format requirement or deadline. Check the video rules and Studio deadline before submitting.
Or let it run in the cloud
