For a pre-recorded Bengali video made at 720p and 25 fps, keep the live output at 1280 × 720 progressive and 25 fps. YouTube does not publish a 720p25 live-bitrate row; its closest reference is 720p30. For H.264, that row recommends 8 Mbps, with 3 Mbps listed as the minimum. Treat those as reference figures, not an exact 720p25 prescription, and test the stream on the connection you will use.

Recommended settings at a glance

Setting Recommended value What to know
Resolution and frame rate 1280 × 720 progressive at 25 fps Match the finished video’s frame rate. YouTube lists 25 fps among common upload frame rates, but its live bitrate table does not provide a 720p25 row.
Video codec H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1 These are supported ingest codecs. H.264 is a broadly supported option, not a requirement.
H.264 bitrate 8 Mbps recommended; 3 Mbps minimum These are YouTube’s 720p30 live reference figures, not exact 720p25 values.
H.265/HEVC or AV1 bitrate 6 Mbps recommended; 2 Mbps minimum Also the 720p30 live reference row, not an exact 720p25 prescription.
Rate control CBR YouTube’s live encoder guidance recommends constant bitrate.
Keyframe interval 2 seconds; do not exceed 4 seconds Set this in the encoder or playback software.
Ingest protocol RTMP or RTMPS; prefer RTMPS YouTube recommends RTMPS for encryption in transit.
Stereo audio AAC or MP3; advanced recommendation: 44.1 kHz, 128 kbps For 5.1 audio over RTMP/RTMPS, YouTube supports AAC and lists 48 kHz at 384 kbps.
SDR advanced video Rec. 709, square pixels, progressive scan, two B-frames, one reference frame, CABAC These are YouTube’s advanced encoder recommendations.

These YouTube encoder values come from its live encoder settings guidance. Because 25 fps is absent from the 720p live bitrate table, use its 720p30 values as a nearby reference and confirm the result with a test. YouTube’s upload encoding guidance separately recommends encoding at the frame rate recorded and lists 25 fps as a common rate.

Set up the stream in YouTube Studio

  1. Create or schedule the live event. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. Set its title, description, visibility, and other event details for your program. There is no special Bengali encoder setting in YouTube’s cited guidance.
  2. Connect the encoder. Copy the stream URL and stream key from the Live Control Room into the encoder or playback software sending the pre-recorded file. The key authorizes the software to send a feed to YouTube, so protect it like a password. YouTube explains the stream setup and scheduling in its live streaming help.
  3. Match the finished video’s format. Configure output as 1280 × 720 progressive at 25 fps. Preserving the source rate avoids needlessly changing the motion cadence of a video rendered at 25 fps.
  4. Choose codec and bitrate. With H.264, start from the nearest published live reference: 8 Mbps recommended and 3 Mbps minimum for 720p30. With AV1 or H.265/HEVC, the 720p30 reference is 6 Mbps recommended and 2 Mbps minimum. Do not call either row an official 720p25 bitrate. Select an output rate your sustained upload connection can carry reliably.
  5. Set transport, rate control, and keyframes. Use RTMPS where available, CBR, and a 2-second keyframe interval; do not let the interval exceed 4 seconds.
  6. Configure audio and SDR picture settings. Use AAC or MP3 audio. For stereo, YouTube’s advanced guidance specifies 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps. For SDR, apply Rec. 709, square pixels, progressive scan, two B-frames, one reference frame, and CABAC if those controls are exposed by your encoder.
  7. Test and monitor. Check your upload speed, then test a representative section with the same picture movement and audio as the program. Watch stream health and encoder messages during transmission. YouTube says, “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.” Its cited guidance does not specify a fixed upload-bandwidth reserve percentage.
  8. Tell viewers when it is coming. A scheduled stream may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds, where viewers can choose “Notify me.”

Choose the bitrate without confusing live and upload settings

For this 720p25 live feed, the exact live bitrate is not stated in YouTube’s table. Its closest row is 720p30, where YouTube lists H.264 at 8 Mbps recommended and 3 Mbps minimum, and AV1/H.265 at 6 Mbps recommended and 2 Mbps minimum. Those are codec-specific reference values, not a guarantee that one codec will look better in every encoder or at every bitrate. Compare software support and test stream stability with your own content.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Do not use YouTube’s upload bitrate as a live-ingest target. The separate upload table lists 5 Mbps for 720p SDR at standard frame rates, including 25 fps. That value is for an uploaded video file, not an encoder feed sent to YouTube Live.

Scheduling, latency, and a one-way program

Scheduling lets viewers see an upcoming listing and opt into “Notify me.” During a broadcast, latency is the time between capture at the encoder or camera and playback for the viewer. YouTube notes that reducing latency can increase playback buffering. For a pre-recorded program without live interaction, prioritizing reliable playback over the lowest possible latency is a practical inference from that trade-off, rather than a separate YouTube rule.

Copyright and channel-policy checks

  • Use video and audio you own or have permission to broadcast. A pre-recorded format does not make copyrighted music or footage exempt from YouTube’s copyright systems or rights-holder claims.
  • Review the stream’s visibility and metadata before going live, and confirm that the scheduled event and encoder are connected to the intended channel.
  • For Bengali music, devotional programming, or other material containing third-party recordings, check the relevant licenses and permissions rather than assuming that attribution alone grants broadcast rights.

For a practical pre-broadcast review, use StreamNeo’s copyright safety checklist.

Troubleshoot common problems

Symptom Likely cause What to check
Stream health reports unstable upload or the feed buffers The bitrate may exceed what the connection can sustain, or the upload may fluctuate. Run an upload speed test, lower the bitrate if needed, and retest with representative video and audio. YouTube does not specify a universal bandwidth reserve in the cited guidance.
Encoder feed is rejected or does not connect Incorrect stream URL or key, unsupported encoder configuration, or wrong event setup. Copy the URL and key again from the intended Live Control Room event, confirm an accepted codec and protocol, and keep the key private.
Motion looks uneven The output frame rate may not match the 25 fps source, or the software may be duplicating or dropping frames. Set the output to progressive 25 fps and verify the rendered file and encoder output.
Audio sounds wrong or is absent Incorrect audio codec, channel layout, sample rate, or bitrate. Use AAC or MP3; for stereo, check 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps against YouTube’s advanced recommendation.
The stream looks less stable after lowering latency Lower latency can increase playback buffering. For a one-way pre-recorded show, select a latency approach that favors dependable playback unless real-time audience interaction is important.
