1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBuying a beat does not, by itself, prove that your YouTube livestream—or its archived replay—is covered. The exact license agreement must grant the relevant rights for live use and, if you keep the recording, on-demand video. Even with permission, YouTube may interrupt a live stream if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. Check the agreement and ask the rights owner about allowlisting before you go live.
What does a purchased beat license need to cover?
The executed agreement for your transaction—not the purchase receipt alone—defines what you may do with the beat. BeatStars says producers set their own license terms, which can vary. Its marketplace agreement is generated from the seller’s configured terms and transaction details, so general descriptions of a license type are not a substitute for your copy of the contract.

Read the agreement and any amendments for terms covering:
- Live broadcasts, including monetized and non-monetized video streams.
- The livestream archive or other on-demand availability after the broadcast.
- Commercial use or monetization, and any required attribution or other conditions.
- Performance rights, territory, duration, and audience or view limits.
- Content ID registration, claims, or restrictions on registering the beat.
- Any exclusions, such as samples or other material whose rights may not be included.
These are issues to check, not clauses that every beat agreement necessarily contains. BeatStars identifies stream and performance permissions as configurable contract details, but that does not establish what your seller granted. Do not assume a “standard,” “premium,” “unlimited,” or “exclusive” label automatically includes livestream and replay rights.

YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions place responsibility on the provider to hold the rights needed for live content on Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants. A beat license may not resolve every rights issue in a recording: composition, sound recording, samples and other contributions can involve different rights holders.
Why can YouTube interrupt a stream even if you have a license?
YouTube scans livestreams for matches to third-party content. If it detects a match, it may show a placeholder, warn you, or interrupt or terminate the stream. YouTube explains that having a license does not necessarily prevent a live interruption if the rights owner has not added your channel to its Content ID allowlist.

- Tuned for enhanced low frequency performance

If you have licensed third-party material, YouTube’s guidance is to ask the owner to add your channel to the allowlist through Content ID. Contact the producer or rights administrator before broadcasting, provide your channel details, and ask whether allowlisting is needed. Permission under a contract and YouTube’s ability to recognize that permission are related but distinct issues.

Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →How is a live interruption different from a claim on the replay?
| Stage | What may happen | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| While live | YouTube scans for third-party matches and may warn, interrupt, or terminate the broadcast. A licensed channel may still be interrupted if it is not allowlisted. | Ask the rights owner whether the channel should be allowlisted; review any notice in YouTube Studio. |
| After the stream, if archived | YouTube says Content ID claims are made after the livestream ends when it is archived. | Review the claim, claimant, and agreement terms for the replay’s on-demand use. |
A live interruption is not the same event as a later Content ID claim on an archived video. Neither event, on its own, settles what your contract permits. The agreement defines the grant; YouTube’s systems may still identify and act on a match.

What to do before going live
- Find the transaction documents. Locate the exact license agreement and receipt. Confirm the beat title, transaction, seller, and contract version, including any customized or amended terms.
- Check the planned uses. Verify that the agreement covers a livestream, the way you intend to monetize it, and an archived or on-demand replay if you plan to keep one. Check applicable term, territory, audience limits, exclusions, and Content ID conditions.
- Ask the rights owner in writing. Confirm whether the license covers the planned live broadcast and archived VOD, and whether your YouTube channel needs to be allowlisted. Keep the response with your agreement.
- Keep useful records. Save the agreement, receipt, beat title, relevant channel and stream or video URLs, and any claimant or notice details.
- Have a response plan. If YouTube interrupts the broadcast, read the specific YouTube Studio notice and contact the rights owner about allowlisting. If the archive receives a claim, inspect the claim details and follow the available process only if you have a genuine rights basis.
If a purchased beat receives a claim
A claim can occur even when a creator purchased what they believe is the correct license. BeatStars advises buyers to check compliance with the agreement, provide the agreement to a distributor where relevant, and contact the producer. That guidance does not guarantee a claim will be released, and a purchase receipt alone may not show which rights were granted.
- Compare the claim’s identified material and claimant with the beat and your transaction documents.
- Check whether the actual agreement covers the use that was claimed, including monetization and the archived replay if applicable.
- Contact the producer or rights administrator with the claim details and a copy of the relevant license. Ask about correction or allowlisting as appropriate.
- Use YouTube’s dispute process only when you have a good-faith basis under the agreement and the rights you hold. If the stakes or rights are unclear, consider advice from a qualified lawyer.
Keep a licensed stream running without confusing that with music clearance
If your question is also how to keep a pre-recorded YouTube stream online, the streaming setup does not replace music permission: you still need rights for the beat and the archived video. StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos on YouTube; it does not establish or expand your music license. See StreamNeo for details.
