Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Short answer: YouTube Live Control Room is where you manage a YouTube broadcast; it is not a built-in service for uploading videos and continuously looping them unattended. You still need an encoder to send video to YouTube. Gyre is a paid cloud service designed to upload prerecorded videos, arrange them into a playlist, and stream that playlist continuously. If you want the cloud workflow without managing a local encoder, StreamNeo is another YouTube-only option: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot and a free first day.
What each option actually does
YouTube Live Control Room
Live Control Room is part of YouTube Studio. In YouTube’s encoder workflow, you create or schedule a stream, copy YouTube’s server URL and stream key into an encoder, start sending video, and use Live Control Room to manage or begin the broadcast. YouTube describes an encoder as something that “converts your video into a digital format to stream on YouTube.” Its documentation does not describe Live Control Room as a built-in way to upload a library and run an unattended endless playlist loop. See YouTube’s encoder instructions.

Gyre
Gyre describes a cloud workflow for prerecorded content: upload video files to Gyre Storage, arrange them into a playlist, connect a YouTube account, then schedule or start the stream. Gyre says its service loops the playlist and can keep the broadcast running while your computer is off. These are vendor-described capabilities, not independently measured uptime results. Details are on Gyre’s product page.

StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Which should you choose?
| Option | Best fit | What to account for |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | First option to consider for an always-on YouTube stream from uploaded videos: it runs in the cloud, accepts any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. | Each slot includes one always-on stream and 10 GB storage, pooled across active slots. You provide a YouTube stream key. |
| YouTube Live Control Room with an encoder | Creators who want to manage a broadcast through YouTube Studio and are prepared to configure and operate a software or hardware encoder. | The encoder sends the video. YouTube’s documented workflow does not provide a built-in unattended playlist loop. |
| Gyre | Creators who want a cloud service for scheduling and continuously looping an existing prerecorded library. | Recurring plan cost, storage, stream count, output limits, and which playlist or scheduler features are included. Confirm current plan details with Gyre. |
For the documented YouTube encoder workflow, the creator starts the encoder feed and, when the scheduled-stream process applies, waits for a preview and clicks Go live in Live Control Room. With Gyre, the cloud service is intended to handle playlist looping and restarts. For StreamNeo, the cloud workflow is upload, add the stream key, and go live. In every case, the creator remains responsible for the content and YouTube policy compliance.
Requirements and stream lifecycle
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time live streaming may take up to 24 hours to enable. Check eligibility and current channel settings before planning a broadcast in YouTube’s live-streaming help.
- In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream using the encoder workflow.
- Copy YouTube’s server URL and stream key into your encoder. Treat the key as a credential: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not be able to send video to your channel.
- Start the encoder so it sends the video to YouTube. For a scheduled stream, check the incoming preview in Live Control Room and click Go live when the interface prompts you to begin.
- To end the broadcast, stop sending content and end the stream in the relevant workflow. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume a longer broadcast will be archived in the same way. See the current encoder and stream instructions.
Gyre and StreamNeo are cloud alternatives to keeping your own computer running as the source. Their automated looping does not remove your responsibility to check YouTube’s current limits, stream status, account settings, and content rules.

Copyright, reused content, and audience suitability
YouTube says live content remains subject to its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. The same responsibility applies whether video is sent by your encoder or a cloud service: only stream material you have the rights to use, and check current YouTube rules before broadcasting. A loop is not a shortcut to guaranteed reach, monetization, or watch time; the available sources do not establish that looping prerecorded material produces those outcomes.

Hardware alternative
YouTube’s verified encoder directory includes the AJA HELO Plus and says its PlayToStream feature can schedule prerecorded media to YouTube Live without a computer. That makes it a hardware path to consider if you prefer a physical encoder, but the source does not establish that it offers the same playlist-looping model as Gyre or that it is required. Confirm current model availability and compatibility before buying. See YouTube’s encoder directory and instructions.
Common problems and practical checks
You cannot start a live stream

The stream stops when your computer is off
That is expected when your local encoder is the source: YouTube receives what the encoder sends. To keep an uploaded-video stream running without a home computer, use a cloud workflow such as Gyre or StreamNeo, and check that its playlist and account setup are complete.
The broadcast runs longer than expected or lacks an archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its instructions say to stop sending content and end the stream; check YouTube’s current guidance when planning a longer run.
