For a YouTube gaming replay stream aimed at viewers in India, choose Gaming as the stream type when it fits the content, set the original video language to the language actually spoken, and add accurate translated titles and descriptions for the languages you can support. YouTube does not document an India-specific rule guaranteeing which title language an individual viewer will see: viewer language preferences are separate from location and app language.

In YouTube Studio, open the live stream settings and select the Gaming stream type if it accurately describes your broadcast or replay. YouTube documents stream-type selection in its live stream settings. Use the category to describe the content, not as a localization setting.

Set the source language to the language actually spoken
In Studio, set the video’s original language to the language used in the stream or replay. Do not change this field to Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, or another target language merely because you want viewers who use that language to find a translated title. The original-language field identifies the source language and helps YouTube and contributors understand it; YouTube says it can support captions and help viewers find videos in their language. Localize titles and descriptions for the languages you can support
Add translations in YouTube Studio
Provide translated titles and descriptions for audience languages you can translate accurately. YouTube’s content-translation tools can show translated metadata to viewers in the relevant languages and may allow translated titles to appear in search for people who speak those languages. That is a platform capability, not a guarantee of search ranking or of the exact title shown to a particular person. Follow YouTube’s instructions for translating content.

Choose translations for real audiences, not assumptions about location
Prioritize languages that match the stream’s spoken content and the viewers you can serve reliably. For example, if the replay commentary is in Hindi, keep Hindi as the original language; add an English translation if you can make one accurate, and add other language versions only when you can translate them well. A viewer’s preferred languages for audio, titles, and descriptions are distinct from app language and location settings, so being in India does not by itself establish which translated title that viewer will see. YouTube notes that preferred-language settings are separate from app language and location and do not affect search results or video recommendations; see Watch videos in your preferred language.
Keep each title accurate and readable
YouTube’s documented title limit is 100 characters. Keep the wording faithful to the replay, use the language naturally, and avoid cramming several translations into one title; use the translated-title fields instead. YouTube says tags generally play a minimal role in discovery, except where they help with commonly misspelled terms. Accurate titles and descriptions matter more than treating tags as a localization shortcut. See Edit video settings.

Check the replay after the live stream
A live stream can appear on your channel as a replay, so check its archive and video details in Studio after it ends. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If the replay matters, do not rely on an over-12-hour stream being available afterward. Review Archive live streams and Learn about live streams for current details.

- They do not guarantee that every viewer in India sees a title in a particular Indian language; YouTube describes general language behavior, not an India-only selection rule.
- Adding a translated title does not guarantee search placement or a specific search result.
