What the Your Debt Is Paid trailer introduces
Developed by Chris Miluski, also known as cmski, and published by Black Lantern Collective, Your Debt Is Paid puts the player in a cycle of dungeon battles and debt repayment. The publisher’s announcement and reveal trailer describe a captor who demands Blood, with the amount owed continually increasing. The publisher says failing to meet that demand risks permanent death.

Blood creates the central risk-and-reward choice
Blood is both the repayment currency and a way to get stronger. You can hold it back toward the captor’s demand, or spend it on stat improvements and items that may help you survive. Spending freely could make the next stretch easier but leave you short when repayment comes due; saving everything could limit your options in combat.

The publisher also frames the run around whether to retreat or risk one more battle. That makes each push deeper a resource decision: another fight may bring more Blood, but it also exposes you to more danger before you can cash in or pull back.
How combat and character builds work
Black Lantern Collective describes combat as automatic, with the player concentrating on decisions and build choices rather than issuing attacks manually. The announced build ingredients include races, classes, relics and enhancements. The publisher also lists unlockable Heroes, Bloodlines, Realms and Ascension Levels; these are announced features, not independently verified gameplay details.

There is an earlier, separate version by cmski on itch.io. Its page lists it as playable in HTML5 and made for the Creepy Clicker Horror Game Jam 2026. It is not the same thing as confirmation that the forthcoming full PC release is available now.
