At the prices used in the comparison, $1,000 buys about 666.67 XRP or 31,201 ALPE—but that larger ALPE token count does not show which investment could earn more. If XRP rose from the article’s approximate $1.50 reference price to its $3 scenario, the XRP holding would be worth about $2,000 before fees and taxes. AlphaPepe’s $0.03205 figure is a project presale price, not an independently verified public-market price; a future ALPE value or ability to sell cannot be calculated from the token count alone.
What the $1,000 comparison actually shows
The arithmetic compares two different kinds of price evidence: an approximate XRP market-price assumption and an ALPE presale price stated by the project. It can show how many tokens $1,000 would buy at those inputs. It cannot establish which asset offers better returns, whether XRP will reach $3, or what ALPE might be worth after an exchange debut.

| Asset and input | Approximate tokens for $1,000 | What the calculation means |
|---|---|---|
| XRP at the article’s approximate $1.50 reference price | 666.67 XRP, before fees | If XRP reached the article’s $3 scenario, that quantity would be worth about $2,000 before fees and taxes. The prices are the article’s assumptions, not an independently verified quote or prediction. |
| ALPE at the project-stated $0.03205 presale price | About 31,201 ALPE, before fees | This is an estimated presale token count, not an estimate of future value. A public trading price, liquidity and ability to sell were not independently established. |
These figures are rounded and exclude transaction costs and taxes. They also do not establish that a buyer could access either exact price: actual execution can depend on the venue, availability and purchase conditions.

What would make XRP worth $2,000 in this scenario?
The example is straightforward arithmetic: about 666.67 XRP multiplied by $3 is about $2,000. It assumes a purchase at approximately $1.50 and a later price of $3, with no fees, taxes or other changes to the holding. It is a scenario, not a price forecast or a statement about the likelihood of recovery.
#1 Best Overall
The word “recovering” should not be read as evidence that XRP is on a path to $3. The comparison supplies no probability, timetable or independent analysis supporting that outcome. Crypto prices can fall as well as rise, and an investor could lose some or all of the amount invested.
Why 31,201 ALPE is not evidence of greater upside
A low unit price naturally produces a higher token count for the same spending amount. The count alone says nothing about the value of the investment: that depends on a future sale price and whether a buyer can actually sell at that price. A presale price does not establish an exchange price, trading depth or reliable exit.
Rank #2
AlphaPepe’s official site describes ALPE as a presale token, provides wallet purchase instructions and claims exchange arrangements. Those are project statements; they do not independently confirm that an exchange listing has gone live. The available information does not establish a public exchange venue or independently observable ALPE market price. Treat claims about pricing, fundraising, users, audits and listings as unverified unless corroborated independently.
XRP and Ripple are not the same thing
XRP is the native token of the XRP Ledger. Ripple is a company that says it uses and contributes to the ecosystem; it is not the token or the ledger itself. Ripple describes XRP as being used for transactions and as a bridge asset in the ledger’s decentralized exchange. These descriptions come from Ripple, so they should be understood as the company’s account of the asset and network.
Rank #3
Ripple also reports that the XRP Ledger has processed more than 4 billion transactions and moved more than $1.7 trillion in value since 2012. Those are company-published figures, not independently verified measurements. Any Ripple-reported XRP holdings or distribution figures should be read with their stated as-of date: June 30, 2026.
What the XRP court rulings do—and do not—say
It is too broad to reduce the litigation history to “XRP is legal” or “XRP is not a security” without explaining the sales at issue. An SEC-hosted filing summarizes the court’s treatment: the August 7, 2024 final judgment imposed a civil penalty and barred Ripple from certain unregistered institutional sales. The court treated programmatic sales over digital-asset trading platforms differently, finding those sales did not constitute unregistered securities sales.
Rank #4
The filing says both parties dropped their appeals in August 2025, leaving those rulings intact. This account concerns the specific categories of sales addressed by the court; it should not be taken as a blanket statement that every XRP transaction has identical legal treatment.

How to compare the investments beyond token count
Before treating either figure as an investable offer, check what price is observable, where a purchase or sale can occur, and what conditions apply. The available evidence is asymmetric: XRP has a public trading history, while an independently verified ALPE public-market history was not established.
Best Value
- Price evidence: For a traded asset, identify the exchange and time of the quote. Label an ALPE presale amount as a project-stated price, not a verified exchange price.
- Liquidity and exit: Confirm that trading is live and that you can sell, not merely buy. A claimed listing or planned debut does not demonstrate market liquidity.
- Supply and distribution: Review token supply, allocations, vesting and unlock terms using verifiable documentation. AlphaPepe publishes tokenomics on its site, but those claims have not been independently audited here.
- Costs and requirements: Account for purchase and network fees, wallet requirements, restrictions and any conditions affecting transfers or sales.
- Downside: A larger number of lower-priced tokens does not imply a higher expected return. Either investment can lose value, and crypto investors can lose some or all of their investment.
For self-custody, verify that a wallet supports the specific asset and network before buying. A hardware wallet may help with custody, but it does not reduce market risk or guarantee a way to sell.
How to read the $3 headline without mistaking it for a prediction
The $3 figure is useful only as a conditional scenario: if XRP were bought at approximately $1.50 and later reached $3, the position’s gross value would roughly double. No cited source establishes that XRP will reach that price, and no comparable source establishes that ALPE will outperform it. The comparison therefore supports an arithmetic illustration—not a ranking, target probability or investment recommendation.
