On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, XRP traded near $1.499 and XLM below $0.220 as both tokens pulled back, according to TradingPedia’s report. Its reported long-to-short ratios were below one for both assets, suggesting a cautious tilt in positioning. Funding rates, however, pointed in different directions: XRP’s was positive, while XLM’s was negative. These are dated market readings, not live quotes or reliable forecasts.

What the October 6 report said

TradingPedia published the snapshot on October 6, describing Tuesday trading and attributing the derivatives readings to CoinGlass. The figures below reproduce that report; they should not be treated as current market prices or current derivatives data.

Asset Reported price Long-to-short ratio Funding rate
XRP Near $1.499 0.85 0.0097% (positive)
XLM Below $0.220 0.96 -0.0056% (negative)

TradingPedia characterized the below-one ratios as a bearish tilt. A separate market-news item published through TMGM on October 6 repeated the approximate prices and ratios, providing evidence that those figures circulated in reporting, but not an independent check against raw market data. What the derivatives indicators suggest—and what they do not

Long-to-short ratios

A ratio below one indicates that the measure’s short side exceeded its long side over the calculation’s chosen population and time window. On the reported readings, XRP’s 0.85 was lower than XLM’s 0.96. That describes positioning as measured by the cited dashboard; it does not establish that either token must fall. The precise venue coverage, aggregation method, contract type, and measurement window for these historical readings are not specified in the reports.

Funding rates

The reported rates were not uniformly bearish. XRP’s funding was positive at 0.0097%, while XLM’s was negative at -0.0056%. Funding is a derivatives-market measure, and its sign alone does not predict the next price move. Because the snapshot does not specify the exact contract, venue aggregation, or interval for these values, they should be read as the figures TradingPedia attributed to CoinGlass, not as a universal rate applying to every XRP or XLM market.

Open interest and other dashboard data

CoinGlass’s live XLM futures page displays measures including open interest, funding, volume, and long/short data. Such a page can help readers see the kinds of indicators traders monitor, but its changing present-day values cannot verify what the dashboard showed on October 6, 2026. A live page may also aggregate instruments or exchanges differently from another source.

How to read the price pullback in context

The report links the modest pullback in XRP and XLM with softer derivatives positioning. That is a description of what the cited indicators showed alongside prices on one Tuesday, not proof that derivatives positioning caused the move. Prices and positioning can change quickly, and a short-term snapshot cannot by itself establish a continuing trend or a reason to trade.

What the supporting sources establish

The October 6 figures are secondary reporting: TradingPedia attributes them to CoinGlass, and TMGM’s market-news page repeats some of them. Neither item supplies an archived primary exchange record tied to a precise observation time. CoinGlass’s live XLM page is not a historical record of the cited snapshot.

A Grayscale Stellar Lumens Trust Form 10-Q covers the quarter ended June 30, 2026; the filing index records an August 4, 2026 filing date. It describes digital-asset trading platforms and published trade data, which provides background on market-data sources, but it predates the October report and does not verify its daily prices or derivatives readings.
