A PCMag listing reports a pair of XREAL AR smart glasses at $254, marked $45 off during Amazon’s Big Deal Days. That does not establish a current Prime Day offer or prove the headline’s “lowest price ever” claim. The model name in the listing is unclear, so its specifications and a matching product link cannot be confirmed from the available information.
What the reported deal actually says
PCMag’s wearable-category listing describes the item as “The X by XReal a01+,” a model name that is too unclear to identify a specific pair. It reports a $254 price and a $45 discount during Amazon’s Big Deal Days sales event. The listing has no publication date in the surfaced result, and the offer may no longer be available. PCMag’s listing is the source for those reported details.

Big Deal Days is the event named in the listing; it is not evidence that this is a current Prime Day offer. The date and availability of the deal should be checked before treating the price as live.

Is $254 the lowest price ever?
The available listing reports the price and discount, but does not provide price-history data to verify a record low. “Lowest price ever” should therefore be treated as the publisher’s deal claim, not an independently established price record. Without a dated price-history comparison, neither the record-low status nor its duration can be confirmed.

What to confirm before buying
Smart glasses is a broad category: PCMag describes products that may involve cameras, headphones, or augmented-reality displays. Those are category-level functions, not confirmed specifications of the glasses in this listing. PCMag’s smart-glasses overview provides general category context, but does not resolve the listing’s model name.
- Exact model: Match the product name to a manufacturer model number before relying on specifications or buying.
- Functions: Check whether the confirmed model has the camera, audio, or AR-display features you need; do not infer them from the category label.
- Current offer: Verify the seller, current price, discount, and sale-event terms on the product page before checkout.
Why the listing includes a disclosure
PCMag’s listing displays this disclosure: “PCMag editors select and review products independently. If you buy through affiliate links, we may earn commissions, which help support our testing.” It explains PCMag’s affiliate relationship in general; it does not establish a commission rate or confirm that a particular offer is active. The product identity should be resolved before using any purchase link.
