Keep “Gen 2” in mind when comparing listings. XPPen also lists an older Artist Pro 16 with different specifications, including a stylus rated at 8,192 pressure levels. The model number to check for this Gen 2 display is MD160QH.

When comparing displays, check whether a quoted color figure is gamut coverage or gamut area; the two describe different things. X3 Pro stylus: 16K levels, tilt, and activation force
XPPen rates the included X3 Pro stylus at 16,384 pressure levels, with 60° tilt support and a 3 g initial activation force. The pressure-level figure is a device specification; by itself it does not prove that the pen will produce perceptibly better artwork or that doubling a stated level count translates into a proportional improvement in finished work.

TechRadar reported a 4.5-star assessment in its own review; that rating is TechRadar’s, not the result of testing for this article. Its reviewer Henry described the stylus as a “big upgrade over previous iterations,” a judgment that should likewise be read as the reviewer’s assessment.
