How the performance and displays differ
Processor: higher-tier specifications on the REDMI
Xiaomi lists the Dimensity 8500-Ultra for the REDMI Turbo 5, compared with vivo’s Dimensity 7400-Turbo in the T5x. On paper, that gives the REDMI the higher-tier processor specification, but the available evidence does not establish a real-world speed advantage or gaming frame rates in a direct test. The REDMI’s 6.59-inch AMOLED panel has the higher stated resolution at 2756 × 1268. The vivo T5x trades that for a larger 6.76-inch LCD at 2344 × 1080. Both are listed with refresh rates up to 120Hz. Choose based on whether you prefer the REDMI’s smaller, higher-resolution AMOLED specification or the vivo’s larger screen; the listed specs do not settle subjective viewing preferences.

Battery capacity and charging
Xiaomi lists a 7540mAh typical-capacity battery for the REDMI Turbo 5, while vivo lists 7200mAh for the T5x. The REDMI also has the higher listed charging rates: 100W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging, compared with 44W charging for the vivo. These are published capacities and charging specifications, not comparable battery-life or charging-time test results; they do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use.
Camera hardware: ultrawide versus selfie resolution
The REDMI pairs a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS/EIS and an 8MP ultrawide. The vivo T5x has a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera and a 2MP bokeh rear camera. For selfies, vivo lists a 32MP front camera against the REDMI’s 20MP unit. The specification difference is useful if you want an ultrawide lens or prioritize front-camera resolution, but megapixels and component names alone cannot determine photo or video quality.

Price difference and India availability
vivo India’s store listing showed the T5x at ₹30,999 for 8GB+128GB and ₹34,999 for 8GB+256GB when retrieved on 2026-10-04. Xiaomi’s returned official India material does not establish a current price for a matching REDMI Turbo 5 configuration. Software and update commitments
Xiaomi lists HyperOS 3 for the REDMI Turbo 5 and says in its FAQ that the phone will receive four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. vivo lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6.0 for the T5x, but the official vivo material cited here does not state a comparable support duration. That gap in published information does not establish that vivo’s support period is shorter.

- Consider the REDMI Turbo 5 if its listed 1.5K AMOLED screen, higher-tier chipset specification, ultrawide camera, higher charging rate, or stated update commitment is more important to you—and you can confirm local availability and price.
- Consider the vivo T5x if you prefer a larger display, want the higher-resolution selfie camera, or value a published India price for the storage tier you plan to buy.
- Wait to compare final value if your decision depends on the price gap. The available official price evidence is not like-for-like across India models.
Xiaomi says the REDMI Turbo 5 package includes a 100W adapter, USB-C cable, protective case and pre-applied screen protector. The cited vivo specifications do not establish what accessories come in the T5x box, so check the package for your region and seller before budgeting for extras.
