The Redmi Turbo 5 is the more performance-oriented option on published chipset specifications, while the TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra 5G stands out for its curved 144Hz display and dedicated 3x telephoto camera. There is no reliable current price difference to quote: the available India Redmi prices refer to different dates and price contexts, and no price is listed on TECNO’s official specification page.
At a glance: how the phones differ
| Specification | Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 | TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra 5G |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, as reported by secondary comparison and launch sources | MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, listed by TECNO |
| Display | 6.59-inch AMOLED, 120Hz; 1.5K resolution reported by Gadgets 360 | 6.78-inch curved AMOLED, 1208 × 2644, 144Hz |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main + 8MP ultra-wide, as reported by comparison pages and Gadgets 360 | 50MP main with OIS + 50MP 3x telephoto + 8MP ultra-wide |
| Battery and charging | 7,540mAh and 100W wired charging, as reported at India launch by Gadgets 360 | 6,500mAh and 45W Super Charge on TECNO’s specification page; capacity varies by region |
| Official price in the cited material | Xiaomi India store listing: ₹41,999 for 8GB + 256GB when observed. Gadgets 360 reported a ₹37,999 India starting price at launch on June 18, 2026. | Not stated on TECNO’s official specification page |
The Redmi processor name points to a higher-performance positioning on paper, but these specifications do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use or gaming. TECNO’s official specifications make its display and camera hardware distinctions clearer. Neither megapixel counts nor refresh rate alone establish overall image or display quality.

Which phone has the stronger performance specifications?
Secondary comparison and launch coverage identify the Redmi Turbo 5’s processor as the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra. TECNO’s official specification page lists the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G with a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate. That makes the Redmi the more performance-oriented choice by the published chipset specifications, not a proven real-world speed winner.
No matched independent benchmark or gaming test is established here. Performance can also depend on cooling, software, memory configuration and the particular apps or games being used. Treat chipset names as a useful initial comparison, not as a guarantee of frame rates or responsiveness. Gadgets 360’s India launch report provides the Redmi chipset attribution; TECNO lists its chipset on its official specification page.

Display: larger and faster-refreshing on TECNO’s specification
TECNO specifies a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel at 1208 × 2644 resolution and 144Hz. Comparison pages report a 6.59-inch, 120Hz AMOLED display for the Redmi Turbo 5, while Gadgets 360 describes it as 1.5K. On those reported figures, the CAMON offers more screen area, curved edges and a higher maximum refresh rate.
A higher refresh-rate figure can allow smoother motion in supported content, but does not by itself mean a better display. Brightness, color calibration, touch response and software behavior matter too; the available specifications do not provide a matched display-quality assessment.

Cameras: TECNO adds a dedicated 3x telephoto
TECNO lists three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP 3x telephoto camera and an 8MP ultra-wide. The Redmi configuration reported by comparison pages is a 50MP main camera plus an 8MP ultra-wide, with no dedicated telephoto listed in those reports.
The CAMON’s separate telephoto module is a meaningful hardware advantage if you want a dedicated optical zoom perspective. It does not prove that the CAMON takes better photos overall: sensor processing, lens quality and software all affect results, and no matched camera test is established. TECNO also lists a 50MP front camera and identifies the main sensor as Sony LYTIA 700C on its product page; these are specifications and manufacturer disclosures, not an independent image-quality verdict.

Battery and charging: compare the stated figures carefully
Gadgets 360 reported a 7,540mAh battery and 100W wired charging for the Redmi Turbo 5 at its India launch. TECNO lists a 6,500mAh battery and 45W Super Charge for the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G, while explicitly noting that battery capacity varies by region. Verify the capacity and charging configuration for the exact local variant before buying.
TECNO’s product page advertises a design intended for 1,800 charge cycles while retaining over 80% capacity, and a two-day TÜV SÜD endurance claim. Those are manufacturer-published claims; they are not a direct comparison with the Redmi or an independent battery-life test. Capacity and charging wattage alone cannot settle which phone lasts longer in your use.

What is the price difference in India?
A dependable current price gap cannot be calculated from the available figures. Xiaomi India’s store listing showed ₹41,999 for the Turbo White Redmi Turbo 5 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage when observed. Separately, Gadgets 360 reported an India launch starting price of ₹37,999 on June 18, 2026, with an Amazon India sale scheduled for June 19. The figures differ in date and context, so they should not be treated as two simultaneous prices or as evidence of a discount.
TECNO’s official specification page does not state a price, and the comparison-page offers cited in coverage vary between page versions. To find the actual difference, compare live listings for both phones on the same date and in the same country, matching RAM and storage and checking the seller, warranty, taxes and any offer conditions. The Redmi store price is a changing listing, not a guaranteed enduring price. Relevant references: Xiaomi India store listing and Gadgets 360’s launch report.

Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Redmi Turbo 5 if the reported Dimensity 8500 Ultra and its reported high-capacity battery and 100W charging suit your priorities. Confirm the exact India SKU and current price before purchase.
- Consider the TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra 5G if a curved 144Hz display and dedicated 3x telephoto camera are more important to you than the Redmi’s chipset positioning.
- Compare local versions before deciding if network support, service access, software support, included charger or price is decisive. The available material does not fully resolve those details for both exact regional SKUs.
TECNO’s pages cover international and country-specific variants, including markets such as Bangladesh and Pakistan; do not assume that an India listing or a specification shown for one region applies unchanged elsewhere. Check the exact model’s supported 5G bands, memory and storage, warranty and included accessories in your market.
