The REDMI Turbo 5 and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra target very different buyers in India. Xiaomi’s phone is the lower-priced option in its captured store listing, with a much larger stated battery and 100W wired charging. Samsung’s Ultra offers a larger, higher-resolution display, more rear-camera focal lengths and a longer stated software-support commitment. There is no controlled head-to-head test here to establish a universal winner.
India price difference: lower Redmi listing, but not a same-day comparison
Xiaomi India’s store listed the REDMI Turbo 5 at ₹41,999 on 4 October 2026, with ₹54,999 also displayed as a marketing price. The catalog showed an 8 GB + 256 GB configuration. Treat ₹41,999 as a dated, potentially volatile store listing rather than a guaranteed ongoing price. Xiaomi India’s product and store listing

Samsung Newsroom India reported the Galaxy S26 Ultra starting at ₹139,999 during launch-period coverage in 2026, alongside March preorder and delivery context. That is not an established current street price, and the exact storage variant for that starting figure is not specified here. Samsung Newsroom India
These figures are not a reliable current price-gap calculation: they come from different dates and price contexts, and the available details do not establish matching storage tiers. Check the live price, seller, storage/RAM configuration, offers and warranty for both phones on the day you buy.

Specifications are from the manufacturers’ published pages: Xiaomi India’s REDMI Turbo 5 specifications and Samsung Mobile Press’ Galaxy S26 Ultra specifications. Vendor measurement conventions and charging claims are not a controlled comparison.
Display: larger and sharper on Samsung
The S26 Ultra has the bigger panel and higher stated resolution: 6.9-inch QHD+ versus the Turbo 5’s 6.59-inch 1.5K screen. Both are specified at up to 120 Hz, although Samsung describes its refresh rate as adaptive from 1 to 120 Hz. The diagonal figures are not perfectly like-for-like because Samsung separately reports its measurement with rounded corners taken into account.

Battery and charging: Xiaomi lists more capacity and higher wired wattage
Xiaomi specifies a typical 7,540 mAh battery and 100W wired charging for the Turbo 5, as well as 27W wired reverse charging. Xiaomi says actual charging speed varies with environment and conditions. Its listed package includes a 100W adapter, cable, protective case and factory-applied screen protector; box contents may vary by region.
Samsung specifies a 5,000 mAh battery and states that Super Fast Charging 3.0 can charge the S26 Ultra to 75% in 30 minutes. That is Samsung’s claim, not a result measured against the Redmi under identical conditions. Battery capacity and charging specifications alone do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use.

Cameras: more documented focal-length options on the Ultra
The Turbo 5 has a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8 MP ultra-wide; its front camera is 20 MP. Samsung lists four rear cameras: 200 MP wide, 50 MP ultra-wide, 50 MP telephoto and 10 MP telephoto, plus a 12 MP front camera. Its zoom table distinguishes 3x and 5x optical zoom from 2x and 10x “optical quality” zoom.
Samsung therefore documents a wider set of rear-camera focal lengths in its specifications. That is a hardware versatility distinction, not proof that its photos are better: megapixel counts and camera lists do not substitute for comparable sample images or controlled testing.

Performance: chip specifications do not settle a head-to-head winner
The Redmi uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500-Ultra, which Xiaomi identifies as a TSMC 4 nm chip with CPU speeds up to 3.4 GHz. Samsung’s S26 Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. Samsung reports up to 19% CPU, 39% NPU and 24% GPU improvement versus the previous generation; those are Samsung’s generational claims, not results comparing the S26 Ultra with the Turbo 5.
A 91mobiles comparison listing reports AnTuTu scores of 2,135,669 for the REDMI Turbo 5 and 3,905,605 for the S26 Ultra, but the published material does not establish controlled, reproducible test methodology. These figures should not be treated as a dependable prediction of day-to-day speed, gaming performance, heat or battery use. 91mobiles comparison listing

Software support: compare the units as stated
Xiaomi states four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security patches for the REDMI Turbo 5. Samsung states seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the S26 series. “Generations” and “years” are different measures, so the figures should not be presented as an exact one-to-one count of identical upgrade cycles.
Which should you buy?
Choose the REDMI Turbo 5 if
- You prioritize a larger stated battery capacity, 100W wired charging or wired reverse charging.
- The dated Xiaomi India store listing is closer to your budget, after confirming the current price and configuration.
- You want Xiaomi’s listed 100W adapter and protective accessories in the box, subject to regional package variation.
Choose the Galaxy S26 Ultra if
- You want a larger QHD+ display with adaptive refresh from 1 to 120 Hz.
- You value the greater documented range of rear-camera focal lengths, including two telephoto cameras.
- Samsung’s stated seven OS generations and seven years of security updates matter more to you than Xiaomi’s stated term.
Neither choice can be called the overall winner from specifications alone. A fair buying decision also depends on current same-day prices for comparable storage, camera samples, controlled battery and charging tests, device dimensions and weight, and region-specific warranty and network compatibility. The figures above do not establish a standardized independent head-to-head result for speed, thermals, endurance or photo quality.
