The Redmi Turbo 5 and the realme P4R 5G are not rivals in the same price tier. The Redmi is the far more powerful phone, with a Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, a reported AMOLED panel and 100W charging. The realme is the cheaper, battery-first option, with an 8,000mAh cell and a 144Hz screen. At launch prices reported in India, the Redmi cost roughly twice as much.
Specs comparison at a glance
Redmi figures come from 91mobiles’ launch report (16 June 2026). realme figures come from realme India’s product page. Both are manufacturer or launch-reported numbers, not our own testing.

Price difference
Using the launch figures, the Redmi Turbo 5’s regular prices were about ₹19,000 higher for the 8GB/256GB model and about ₹22,000 higher for the 12GB/256GB model, compared with the P4R’s ₹18,999. The P4R figure is a secondary listing, and it doesn’t say which memory configuration it applies to. So treat the gap as approximate.
Xiaomi also ran lower introductory offers, which were temporary. Street prices for both phones will have moved since launch, so check the current checkout price for the same memory variant before you decide. The Redmi’s launch sale was reported through Amazon.in, mi.com and partner retail stores.

Performance
This is the biggest gap. The Dimensity 8500 Ultra is a higher-tier chip than the Dimensity 6300. Expect the Redmi to be noticeably better for demanding games, heavy multitasking and long-term headroom. The P4R’s chip suits everyday use: messaging, video, social apps and lighter games. This conclusion rests on the tiers of the chips, not on benchmarks we ran. Realme’s own performance and endurance figures are attributed to realme Lab or MediaTek, and the page says “Actual results may vary.”
Display
The Redmi’s reported 1.5K AMOLED panel should be sharper and have better contrast. The P4R goes bigger and faster on paper, with 144Hz against 120Hz and a 1200-nit peak brightness claim. The P4R’s panel type and resolution weren’t confirmed on realme’s page, so check the official spec sheet if sharpness matters to you. A higher refresh rate helps scrolling smoothness, but it doesn’t make up for a lower-resolution panel.

Battery and charging
The P4R has the larger battery, 8,000mAh against 7,540mAh. Capacity alone doesn’t decide runtime, because the display, chipset efficiency, network and software all matter. No independent runtime test is available for either phone yet. The Redmi’s 100W charging is far faster than the P4R’s 45W on paper. Real charging time depends on the charger, temperature and what’s included in the regional box, so confirm that the charger ships with the phone.
Cameras, durability and software
Cameras can’t be compared in detail. The Redmi’s reported setup is 50MP + 8MP, but realme’s page doesn’t list a camera spec, and secondary sources disagree. On durability, the Redmi’s reported IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings cover dust and water immersion plus high-pressure, high-temperature jets. The P4R’s IP65 protects against dust and water jets, not immersion, and its MIL-STD-810H shock-resistance certification is a separate matter. Neither rating guarantees against damage. Software is HyperOS 3 on the Redmi and realme UI 7.0 (Android 16) on the P4R. Update commitments for both weren’t established, so check them before buying if long-term support matters to you.
