The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is the stronger choice on listed camera and charging specifications. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G has a faster 144Hz display and much higher benchmark scores in the comparison source we used, but those scores are publisher-reported, not independently tested. On the Amazon India prices shown in that comparison, the Motorola was ₹825 cheaper. Those prices change often, so confirm the exact variant and current price before you decide.

Performance and display
The benchmark gap is the largest difference in the comparison. The 91mobiles page reports Motorola at 6,864 Geekbench multi-core and 2,194,258 AnTuTu, against 3,272 and 1,055,895 for the Redmi. These are single-run figures from one publisher, with no stated test conditions, so treat them as a rough indication of processor tier rather than a precise ranking. Sustained performance under heavy gaming or long sessions is not covered by these numbers.
The display is the other clear spec difference. Motorola’s listed 144Hz is faster than the Redmi’s 120Hz maximum, which mainly matters for smoothness in scrolling and supported games. Xiaomi publishes a peak brightness of up to 3200 nits; the comparison does not give an equivalent figure for the Motorola, so brightness cannot be compared directly.

Cameras: why megapixels don’t settle the question
The Redmi relies on a 200MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation, while the Motorola uses two 50MP rear cameras. A higher megapixel count does not by itself produce better photos. Pixel binning, lens quality, processing, and low-light behaviour all shape the final image. The specifications suggest the Redmi offers a higher-resolution main camera and a dedicated OIS system, but they do not show which phone takes better photos. For that, compare sample images taken under the same lighting from both phones.
Battery and charging
Both phones are listed with a 6500mAh battery, so battery capacity does not separate them. The difference is charging: Xiaomi includes a 100W charger in the box, and the Motorola is listed at 90W in the comparison source. Check whether a charger is included with the Motorola in your market, since the comparison does not state this.

Software and update support
Xiaomi’s stated support
Xiaomi’s India product page states: “4 Years of OS + 6 Years of Security Updates.” This is Xiaomi’s own commitment. We have not independently checked it, and it should be read as a company claim rather than a verified schedule.
Motorola’s listed support
The 91mobiles comparison lists three years of OS updates and five years of security updates for the Motorola, running Android 16. That figure has not been confirmed against an official Motorola source, so confirm it on Motorola’s site before relying on it for a multi-year purchase.

Xiaomi’s service statistics
Xiaomi’s India page also cites service figures from a Counterpoint study dated 2025: 52% of issues resolved within four hours against an industry average of 47%, and 37% of issues resolved for under ₹1,000 against an industry average of 28%. These are Xiaomi’s figures, attributed to Counterpoint. We could not locate the underlying Counterpoint report to check them. They are not a measure of how this phone performs, and they should not be treated as one.
Price difference in India
The comparison page shows the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G at ₹39,490 and the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G at ₹38,665, both on Amazon India. That is an ₹825 gap in the Motorola’s favour. The page does not state the date of those prices, and they are not official launch prices. Before you buy, check the exact memory variant (the Redmi is offered in three), the seller, stock, and the current price, since a difference this small can reverse within days of a sale or price change.

Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G if camera resolution with optical stabilisation, the 100W charger in the box, the 12GB/512GB option, and Xiaomi’s stated update period matter most to you.
- Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G if a 144Hz screen and the higher benchmark scores matter most, and if the listed price is still ₹825 or more below the Redmi’s on the day you buy.
- Check before deciding: the Motorola’s storage options, IP rating, NFC, and official update policy, none of which are confirmed by an official Motorola source in this comparison.
If you need a durability rating or NFC for daily use, the Redmi’s listed specifications are the only ones confirmed here.
