The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G has a detailed India spec sheet, but the available official vivo T5 5G pages conflict on important details. That means a reliable winner—or a trustworthy price difference—cannot yet be established. Here is what each manufacturer lists, what remains uncertain, and what to verify before buying.
At a glance: the published specifications
The Redmi figures below come from Xiaomi India’s product specification page, accessed October 4, 2026. The vivo figures are provisional: vivo India’s official pages surface inconsistent details, so they should not be treated as a definitive specification set for a particular T5 5G SKU.

| Specification | Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G | vivo T5 5G |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, up to 2.7GHz, according to Xiaomi India. | Official vivo pages differ; one surfaced page names Dimensity 7400-Turbo. Confirm the exact local model before comparing. |
| Display | 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED, up to 120Hz, with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, according to Xiaomi India. | One vivo parameter page describes a 6.76-inch FHD+ LCD with a refresh rate up to 120Hz; another official page differs. |
| Memory and storage | Xiaomi lists 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB configurations. | vivo pages list multiple configurations but do not reconcile consistently. Check the exact regional SKU. |
| Rear cameras | 200MP OIS main camera and 8MP ultra-wide camera, according to Xiaomi India. | A surfaced vivo page describes a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera; the page’s variant details need confirmation. |
| Battery and charging | 6500mAh typical battery capacity and a 100W charger in the box, according to Xiaomi India. | Surfaced official details state a 7200mAh battery and 44W charging, but the source pages conflict. |
| Durability | Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, subject to its stated test conditions and limitations. | A vivo page refers to IP68/IP69-related water resistance; confirm which rating applies to the exact model. |
| Software and updates | HyperOS 3. Xiaomi’s product copy states four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. | One official page lists Android 16 and OriginOS 6, with three Android OS upgrades and five years of security patch updates. Confirm India applicability. |

Which specification differences matter most?
Display: AMOLED versus an unresolved vivo listing
Xiaomi specifies an AMOLED panel at 1.5K resolution. One vivo parameter page describes an FHD+ LCD panel. If that parameter page matches the T5 5G being sold to you, the panel technology and resolution are meaningful differences on paper. Because another official vivo page differs, verify the exact model number and its local specification sheet before using this distinction to decide.

Camera hardware: resolution is not a photo-quality verdict
Xiaomi lists a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), while a surfaced vivo page lists a 50MP main camera. Xiaomi also lists an 8MP ultra-wide camera; the surfaced vivo page lists the same stated resolution for its ultra-wide. These are manufacturer-published hardware specifications, not evidence that one phone takes better photos. Image processing, lens quality and performance in different lighting are not established by the figures alone.
Battery and charging: capacity does not establish endurance
Xiaomi lists a typical 6500mAh battery and a 100W charger in the box. vivo’s surfaced details state 7200mAh and 44W charging. If those vivo figures apply to the local unit, they indicate a larger stated capacity but slower rated charging than Xiaomi’s listed charging figure. Neither capacity nor charging wattage establishes real-world screen time or charging duration; those require comparable testing. Resolve the vivo variant conflict first.

Processor and memory: compare exact configurations
Xiaomi identifies the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, up to 2.7GHz, and lists three RAM/storage combinations. vivo’s official pages conflict, including over processor details, and do not establish a consistent set of configurations. Do not treat the surfaced Dimensity 7400-Turbo listing as definitive or infer a performance winner without confirming the exact T5 SKU and independent testing.
Water and dust resistance: read the conditions, not just the rating
Xiaomi lists four IP ratings, and vivo’s surfaced page refers to IP68/IP69-related water resistance. A rating describes performance under specified test conditions; it is not a promise against every kind of exposure or a reason to deliberately submerge or spray a phone. Read the relevant manufacturer’s conditions and warranty exclusions for the exact regional model before relying on water resistance.

Software support: compare the promises that apply locally
Xiaomi’s product copy states four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. vivo’s product page states three Android OS upgrades and five years of security patch updates. These are manufacturer claims, not independent guarantees; check that each stated policy applies to the India SKU and confirm when the support period starts before treating the figures as directly comparable.

A reliable like-for-like price difference is not established by the available official listings. A vivo Official E-Store search result showed ₹34,999 for a T5 5G 6GB+128GB listing, but its specifications conflict with the surfaced vivo product pages, so that figure should not be treated as a verified current price for the model described there. No comparable current official Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G price was established.

To calculate a useful difference, compare live prices for the same Indian market and equivalent RAM/storage configuration. Keep the type of price consistent—current checkout price against current checkout price, rather than mixing an offer with an MRP—and verify the product name, model number, warranty and seller listing before paying.

What to verify before choosing
- Confirm the exact India model number on the vivo box or listing, then match it to vivo’s official parameter page. Do not rely on a T5 name alone while official pages disagree.
- Compare the same RAM and storage tier for both phones, and verify that the seller’s listing matches the SKU shown on the manufacturer page.
- Check current prices at checkout in the same market, including whether each figure is an offer or regular listed price.
- Review the manufacturers’ warranty terms and the stated limits on water-resistance claims for the regional model.
- Confirm that the OS and security update commitments cited on each product page apply to the India configuration you plan to buy.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
