The available prices are not the same kind of price evidence: Android Central reported Redmi’s India launch prices in 2026, while vivo’s India store listed MRPs accessed on October 4, 2026. Neither set establishes today’s retailer sale price.

Those comparisons differ in RAM, and the price sources and bases differ too. Which phone has the better display?
On the published specifications, the Redmi is the display-oriented choice: Xiaomi lists a curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, while vivo lists an LCD panel with 1600 × 720 resolution. Xiaomi also advertises 3200-nit peak brightness, which is a manufacturer specification, not an independently measured result here. The figures do not establish comparative real-world brightness or image quality.
Which phone has better camera hardware?
The Redmi lists a 108MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. vivo lists 13MP and 0.08MP rear cameras. That gives Redmi higher-resolution listed hardware and OIS on its main camera, but megapixel counts alone do not prove which phone takes better photos; no comparable camera testing is established here.

Battery capacity versus charging speed
vivo lists a 6,000mAh battery, compared with Xiaomi’s 5,520mAh rating for the Redmi. Capacity is not a runtime test, so these figures do not show how long either phone lasts in a particular use pattern. Xiaomi advertises 45W charging and 18W reverse charging; vivo lists 15W charging. The wattage comparison indicates a higher stated charging rate for Redmi, but no comparable charge-time test is available. Xiaomi also says the Redmi battery is designed to retain performance after 1,600 cycles; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified test result.

Processors, software and durability
Performance
The Redmi uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, while the vivo uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300. Chip names identify the hardware, but without comparable benchmarks or real-world testing they do not establish which phone feels faster across games, apps or everyday tasks.

Android Central reported HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 on its reviewed India Redmi model and noted that a HyperOS 3 update was planned at the time of its review. vivo lists Funtouch OS 15 for the Y19s 5G. Software versions and update availability can change; check the current device listing and support information before purchase.
Dust and water ratings
Xiaomi advertises IP66 for the Redmi and vivo lists IP64 for the Y19s. Treat these as manufacturer specifications, not promises that a phone is protected from every kind of dust or water exposure or from damage in all circumstances.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Redmi Note 15 5G if its listed AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, OIS-equipped 108MP main camera or 45W charging matter more to you, and its configuration fits your budget.
- Consider the vivo Y19s 5G if you prioritize its larger stated battery capacity and lower store-listed prices. Its listed configurations also start at less RAM and storage than Redmi’s reported launch-price options.
- Do not choose on processor names alone: the available specifications do not settle comparative real-world performance.
Before ordering, confirm the exact 5G model, RAM and storage, current price, seller and warranty. In particular, do not substitute a Redmi Note 15 4G or a version intended for another market when comparing the India 5G specifications.
