Choose the Redmi for a larger display and more rear-camera flexibility
At 6.77 inches, the Redmi has the larger listed screen. Its rear setup includes an OIS-equipped 108MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide; the realme lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary portrait camera. That makes the Redmi’s published rear-camera configuration more versatile on paper, but megapixel counts and camera features alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.

Choose the realme for a bigger stated battery and higher-rated charging
The realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery and 60W charging, compared with the Redmi’s 5520mAh and 45W. Those specifications favor the realme for capacity and rated wired charging, but they do not prove longer real-world battery life or a particular charging time. No matched battery test is established by the published figures.
Consider the realme if selfie resolution is a priority
The realme’s listed 50MP front camera has a higher resolution than the Redmi’s 20MP front camera. Actual selfie quality also depends on optics and image processing, so the resolution difference is not a complete quality verdict.

Do not pick a performance winner from clock speed alone
The phones use different chipsets: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 on the Redmi and Dimensity 6400 Max 5G on the realme. Their stated process nodes and maximum clock speeds are not enough to determine which is faster in everyday use or sustained workloads. A fair performance verdict requires independent testing under comparable conditions.

Price difference in India
Comparison listings displayed ₹28,999 for the Redmi Note 15 and ₹26,999 for the realme 15T, a ₹2,000 observed difference in the realme’s favor. 91mobiles showed the figures alongside Amazon India listings; Smartprix reported the same figures and said its details were last updated September 21, 2026. Before deciding on value, check the live price, seller, stock and exact RAM/storage configuration for both phones. The listed configurations differ: Redmi is shown with 8GB RAM, while realme also lists a 12GB option. Dynamic RAM expansion is not a substitute for physical RAM, so compare the installed memory rather than treating expansion figures as equivalent.
Software support, durability and what is in the box
Xiaomi’s product page states four years of OS updates and six years of security patches; confirm that this policy applies to the exact regional model and remains current when buying. realme lists realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, but a comparable official update duration was not established in the specifications reviewed.

An IP rating is not a promise that a phone is waterproof or safe from every liquid exposure. realme’s cited specification page lists adapter, cable and case; Xiaomi’s listed package includes a 45W adapter, cable and case. Box contents may vary by sales region, so check the specific listing.

For either choice, verify that the product listing is for the India-market 5G model and the RAM/storage tier you intend to buy. Published specifications do not settle comparative camera quality, sustained performance or real-world battery life; those require matched independent tests.
