Screen size and handling
The POCO’s listed display is 0.06 inches larger diagonally, while both phones are listed as 120 Hz AMOLED panels with FHD+ class resolution. That gives the POCO a little more screen area, but the Redmi is notably easier to carry: it is 47 g lighter and 1.05 mm thinner according to the comparison listing.

Performance figures are a guide, not a guarantee
91mobiles lists AnTuTu results of 868,311 for the Redmi and 619,773 for the POCO. These are publisher test outputs, not a promise of the same score or a direct measure of every task; results can vary with software and testing conditions. The figures favor the Redmi in that benchmark, but they do not by themselves establish how either phone will feel in every app or game.
Cameras: resolution and flexibility
The Redmi has a higher-resolution listed main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide, while the POCO listing pairs a 50 MP main camera with a 2 MP auxiliary camera. The Redmi also has the higher-resolution listed selfie camera. This makes its rear setup more versatile on paper, but megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos; matched camera testing would be needed for that conclusion.

Battery capacity versus runtime
The POCO’s reported 8,000 mAh capacity is substantially larger than the Redmi’s 5,520 mAh, and both are listed with 45 W wired charging. Capacity is not the same as endurance: 91mobiles’ PCMark battery test lists 15 h 56 m for the POCO and 17 h 00 m for the Redmi. Those are publisher test results, not real-world guarantees, and should not be treated as a prediction of an individual user’s runtime.
Memory and software details
Match the storage tier as well as the RAM when comparing offers. The Redmi is listed in 128 GB and 256 GB configurations, with microSD support reported up to 1 TB; the cited POCO launch coverage lists 128 GB storage for both memory tiers. The sources report Android 15 with HyperOS 2 for the Redmi review and Android 16 with HyperOS 3 for POCO launch coverage. Check the software version and support terms for the specific unit and region you are buying, since those details can change.

India price difference: compare matching variants
Prices below are India-market snapshots, not fixed prices or guaranteed current offers. The Xiaomi India store listed the Redmi Note 15 5G Black, 8 GB + 128 GB, at ₹28,999 against a displayed ₹36,999; the Xiaomi India listing may change. 91mobiles showed ₹28,999 for the Redmi and ₹23,945 for the POCO on Amazon India when its comparison page was accessed. Smartprix showed ₹28,999 and ₹26,999 respectively for an 8 GB + 128 GB comparison, with its data last updated 22 August 2026. These snapshots place the POCO ₹2,000–₹5,054 below the Redmi depending on the retailer comparison, but they are not a single live price gap.
POCO’s reported India launch prices were ₹24,999 for 6 GB + 128 GB and ₹27,999 for 8 GB + 128 GB, with sales starting 7 August 2026 on Flipkart, according to Cinco Días. Launch prices and later retailer offers need not match. A separate Smartprix comparison records its price snapshot and update date. Check the live listing for the same memory configuration before purchase; the cited prices cover India, not other regions.

Which phone should you buy?
- Choose the Redmi Note 15 5G if lower weight and thickness, a listed ultrawide camera, higher listed camera resolutions, or the cited benchmark result are your priorities.
- Choose the POCO M8 Power 5G if you prefer the larger listed screen, want substantially higher battery capacity, or find it at a meaningfully lower price for the RAM tier you need.
