A 91mobiles comparison published June 6, 2026, listed both 12GB/256GB models at ₹59,999; when checked on October 7, 2026, vivo’s India store displayed ₹79,999 for that configuration and marked it unavailable. If both are currently within budget, choose the Xiaomi 17T for its sharper display and 5x optical periscope, or the Vivo X200T for stronger peak performance, wireless charging and three 50MP rear cameras.
Check the live price before choosing
The ₹59,999 figure is a dated comparison price, not a guarantee of current availability. In its June 6, 2026 comparison, 91mobiles listed each phone’s 12GB/256GB configuration at ₹59,999. The same comparison listed Xiaomi’s 12GB/512GB model at ₹64,999 and vivo’s at ₹69,999, a ₹5,000 difference at that time. See 91mobiles’ comparison.

A later snapshot differs: vivo’s India store displayed ₹79,999 for the selected Seaside Lilac 12GB+256GB X200T and marked it unavailable when accessed October 7, 2026. That store listing does not establish the phone’s price at other retailers or explain the difference. Check the exact storage configuration, seller, price and stock at purchase time. What each phone is better suited to
- Choose Xiaomi 17T if you value a 1.5K display, a listed 6,500mAh battery, and a 5x optical periscope camera.
- Choose Vivo X200T if you prioritize the higher-tier listed chipset, wireless charging, or a 50MP sensor for each of its three rear cameras.
- Compare carefully if you mainly want the best sustained gaming results or camera output: one outlet’s test favors Xiaomi for sustained performance, but the available sources do not establish a universal camera-quality winner.
Performance: vivo has the stronger peak platform, with a test-specific caveat
The 91mobiles comparison lists the Xiaomi 17T with a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra and the Vivo X200T with a Dimensity 9400+. Both are listed with UFS 4.1 storage; the comparison specifies LPDDR5X RAM for Xiaomi and LPDDR5X Ultra for vivo. The chipset specifications favor vivo for peak processing capability.

In a separate hands-on comparison, 91mobiles reported that vivo scored better in major synthetic benchmarks. But in that outlet’s 30-minute gaming test, its reported average temperature rise was 14.4°C for vivo and 9.2°C for Xiaomi. The review favored Xiaomi for sustained performance under its test conditions, while saying it observed no significant vivo performance degradation in the demanding tasks it tried. These are results from one outlet’s testing, not a guarantee of how either phone will behave in every game, room temperature or session. Read the 91mobiles hands-on comparison.
Display: sharper on Xiaomi, larger on vivo
The Xiaomi 17T has a listed 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Vivo X200T has a larger 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, also at 120Hz. On the stated resolution, Xiaomi is the sharper-screen choice; vivo offers more screen area.

Brightness figures are not a clean head-to-head. vivo’s official product page claims 5,000 nits of local peak brightness. 91mobiles lists up to 3,500 nits for Xiaomi, while its hands-on comparison gives 3,200 nits. These figures come from different sources and are not established as measurements taken under matching conditions, so they do not prove which screen is brighter in ordinary use. The comparison lists HDR10+ support for both and Dolby Vision for Xiaomi. It also lists Gorilla Glass 7i on Xiaomi and Schott Xensation Core protection on vivo. See vivo’s official X200T specifications.
Cameras: a 5x periscope versus three 50MP rear sensors
The Xiaomi 17T’s listed rear setup combines a 50MP Leica-tuned Light Fusion 800 main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto with OIS and 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The comparison also lists 120x digital zoom and 4K HDR10+ recording at 60fps; those feature claims do not establish that heavily zoomed images retain useful detail.

vivo’s official specifications list a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera with OIS and ZEISS T* coating, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto camera at 70mm equivalent, and a 50MP JN1 ultra-wide camera with autofocus. vivo also lists up to 100x ZEISS HyperZoom and up to 20x telephoto macro, plus a 32MP front camera. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent image-quality results.
The Xiaomi’s 5x optical periscope is the more clearly stated choice for that particular zoom range; vivo’s three 50MP rear sensors make for a more evenly high-resolution camera array on paper. Neither specification sheet establishes which phone takes better photos or video overall. In its hands-on comparison, 91mobiles described vivo’s camera app as more feature-rich and Xiaomi’s as cleaner and easier to navigate, but did not establish a reproducible overall image-quality winner.

Battery and charging: capacity is not endurance
The 91mobiles comparison lists Xiaomi with a 6,500mAh battery, 67W wired charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. vivo’s official specifications list a 6,200mAh battery, 90W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless FlashCharge. Xiaomi has the larger listed capacity; vivo supports faster listed wired charging and adds wireless charging. Capacity and charging wattage alone do not establish how long a phone lasts between charges.

Software and protection claims
The June 2026 91mobiles hands-on comparison describes both phones as shipping with Android 16: Xiaomi with HyperOS 3 and vivo with OriginOS 6. It also says both offer five years of major Android OS upgrades. Treat that support period as a dated secondary-source claim and confirm current manufacturer terms before buying. vivo’s store listing identifies OriginOS 6.

The hands-on comparison describes a plastic frame and IP68 rating for Xiaomi, and an aluminium frame and IP68 protection for vivo. The June comparison additionally lists IP69 for the X200T; that rating appears in the secondary comparison and is not confirmed here by the cited official product specification page.
Quick Recap
How to make the call
- Verify the exact configuration and live offer. Compare 12GB/256GB with 12GB/256GB, or 12GB/512GB with 12GB/512GB, and check stock as well as price.
- Pick Xiaomi for display detail or optical zoom. Its listed 1.5K resolution and 5x optical periscope match those priorities.
- Pick vivo for charging flexibility or peak processing. Its listed Dimensity 9400+, 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging are the relevant advantages.
- Do not decide on camera megapixels or battery capacity alone. The available specifications do not identify a universal photo-quality or endurance winner.
