Which phone suits your priorities?
Choose Xiaomi 17T if battery capacity and optical zoom matter most
Xiaomi lists a 6500 mAh typical silicon-carbon battery, compared with vivo’s 6200 mAh figure. That establishes a capacity difference, not which phone lasts longer in real use. Xiaomi also explicitly describes 5x optical reach on its periscope telephoto; the vivo specification lists a 50 MP periscope but does not establish the same zoom range in the cited material.
The Xiaomi’s rear camera set is a 50 MP main camera using a Light Fusion 800 sensor, a 50 MP periscope telephoto, and a 12 MP ultra-wide in the UK specification. Xiaomi describes 10x optical-grade zoom as well as 5x optical zoom; optical-grade wording should not be mistaken for additional native optical reach. Xiaomi’s global camera description.

Choose vivo X200T if you prefer the larger screen, named chipset tier or 50 MP ultra-wide
The vivo display is 6.67 inches versus Xiaomi’s 6.59 inches. vivo specifies a Dimensity 9400+, while Xiaomi specifies a Dimensity 8500-Ultra. The model names place vivo’s chipset in a higher tier, but they do not by themselves establish the size of any real-world performance advantage; matched benchmarks and sustained-load testing would be needed.

vivo’s India specification identifies three 50 MP rear cameras: a main camera with an IMX921 sensor, a periscope telephoto with an IMX882 sensor and 70 mm focal length, and an ultra-wide using a JN1 sensor. Xiaomi’s cited UK page lists a 12 MP ultra-wide, so vivo has the higher-resolution ultra-wide on paper. Megapixel counts, sensor names and ZEISS branding do not prove which phone produces better photos.

Battery, charging and what comes in the box
Xiaomi advertises 67 W HyperCharge and support for 50 W PPS. vivo advertises up to 90 W FlashCharge and says actual charging power adjusts dynamically with use. These are peak or supported power specifications, not a matched charge-time test. The Xiaomi UK specification says a power adapter is not included; the vivo India page lists a charger and case in the box. Confirm the package contents for the exact market and seller. vivo India also specifies support for up to 40 W wireless charging with its Vertical Wireless Charger 2. The accessory and regional compatibility matter, so check availability before treating this as an included or universally usable feature.

vivo says the X200T’s IP68/IP69 resistance is tested under controlled laboratory conditions, is not permanent, and may decline through daily use. Do not treat the rating as a guarantee against water damage.
What independent testing does—and does not—show
TechRadar’s Xiaomi 17T reviewer reported smooth everyday app use, about three days of battery life in that reviewer’s own everyday-use pattern, and a full recharge taking just over an hour. Those are individual review observations, not a standardized endurance protocol or a comparison against the vivo X200T. The available evidence does not establish a head-to-head winner for sustained performance, camera quality, battery life or charging time.

Verdict: decide by the trade-off, then compare current matching offers
The Xiaomi 17T is the more straightforward fit if you value its listed larger battery and explicitly stated 5x optical telephoto reach. The vivo X200T is the better fit on paper if you want the larger display, the Dimensity 9400+ platform, three 50 MP rear cameras or a higher advertised wired-charging ceiling. Neither set of specifications proves an overall winner. Before paying, compare the same storage size, seller terms, warranty and package contents in your region.
