Its claimed suitability for high-end Ryzen chips should therefore be treated as design intent, not proven sustained-load performance.
What the NEX A61 ARGB is
Launch reports describe the NEX A61 ARGB as a single-tower CPU air cooler with two fans arranged in a push-pull configuration. XERON describes its heat transfer system as direct-touch heatpipes with “triple-parallel-pipe precision coverage.” The tower is offset, a design said to make more room around memory; that does not guarantee clearance with every motherboard and DIMM combination. Both fans have ARGB lighting, with synchronization support reported for ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, and ASRock motherboards. Reports also describe a magnetic, tool-free top cover. These are launch specifications, not independent evaluations of lighting control or ease of installation.
Is it proven to cool high-end AM5 Ryzen CPUs?
No—not on the evidence available in the reviewed coverage. Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and Ryzen 7 9850X3D are named as target processors, but that establishes the cooler’s intended audience, not its performance under sustained workloads.

Modders-Inc explicitly presented its September 9, 2026 article as a preview. Author Dewayne Carel wrote, “We’ve reached out for a review sample and will follow up with full thermal and acoustic testing once one lands.” No controlled NEX A61 ARGB thermal or noise comparison was present in the reviewed sources. Tom’s Hardware Italia likewise cautioned that fan-speed and noise specifications alone cannot establish equivalence to a liquid cooler under matched load and noise conditions.
For a meaningful performance verdict, look for results on the same CPU and power limits, under the same workload, alongside noise measurements with a stated fan setting and measurement distance. The launch reports do not provide those comparisons.

Which sockets are reported as supported?
TweakTown lists AMD AM5 and AM4, plus Intel LGA 1851, LGA 1700, and LGA 1200. Treat that as reported socket support rather than a substitute for checking the final mounting hardware in the package. Before buying, confirm the exact motherboard, RAM height, cooler dimensions, and case clearance against an up-to-date product listing or manufacturer documentation. The reviewed launch coverage does not establish compatibility for every board, memory kit, or case.

Is the NEX A61 ARGB a good buy?
Its reported launch MSRP places it in the under-$40 category, and its dual-fan layout, ARGB lighting, and stated AM5 focus may make it worth considering if those features match your build. But a buyer choosing it for a high-end Ryzen chip should wait for relevant independent thermal and acoustic results rather than infer capability from the named target processors, advertised fan speed, or noise figure. Current stock and street pricing were not verified in the reviewed coverage, so check both before ordering.
