The xDuoo MT-02 is a desktop analog headphone amplifier, not a confirmed DAC/amp: published listings specify an RCA input and do not identify digital inputs or a built-in DAC. Its listed output ranges from 1,500 mW at 32Ω to 130 mW at 600Ω, but those ratings alone cannot establish whether it will suit a particular pair of headphones. You will also need a source with an analog line output, such as a separate DAC.
What the xDuoo MT-02 is—and what it is not
xDuoo identifies the MT-02 as a desktop tube headphone amplifier. Retailer listings describe a hybrid circuit: two 6J1 tubes in the preamplification or voltage-gain stage, followed by a transistor Class A output stage. These are published descriptions, not independently verified measurements or a hands-on assessment.
The listed input is analog RCA. The reviewed product information does not establish a digital input or built-in DAC, so treat the MT-02 as an amplifier that needs an analog signal from another component—not as a USB DAC/amp you can connect directly to a computer. See the xDuoo desktop product directory and retailer listings from Audiophonics and Apos Audio.
Connections and basic setup
Signal path
For headphone listening, the basic chain is: source with an analog line output → stereo RCA cable → MT-02 → headphones. A computer or phone without a line output will need a suitable external DAC or other analog-output source upstream. The MT-02’s listed pre-out can also feed an external amplifier or powered speakers, according to retailer descriptions.

Headphone jacks and adapters
Apos lists a 4.4 mm balanced headphone output and a 6.35 mm single-ended output. Audiophonics’ specification list also mentions a 3.5 mm output, but its detailed description names 4.4 mm and 6.35 mm instead. Because those listings conflict, verify the actual jacks on the unit and the current seller page before buying around a 3.5 mm connection. Audiophonics lists a 6.35 mm-to-3.5 mm adapter in the package; Apos’ included-items list does not explicitly name one, so check what your chosen seller supplies.
A 4.4 mm socket is not a guarantee that every balanced headphone cable is suitable. Confirm that the cable’s wiring and connector match the headphone and amplifier before use. For exact operation and safety instructions, consult the xDuoo Download Center, which lists an English MT-02 user manual.

Will it drive your headphones?
Start with your headphones’ impedance and sensitivity, then compare them with the MT-02’s output rating at the relevant load. The listings show rated power falling from 1,500 mW at 32Ω to 130 mW at 600Ω. That pattern is useful for assessing the amplifier’s published capability, but it does not prove clean output in every listening condition or guarantee compatibility with every headphone. Impedance alone is not enough to answer the question; sensitivity also matters.
Apos lists two gain settings. Begin with the lower gain and a low volume setting when connecting headphones, then raise the level gradually. This is prudent general setup advice, not a claim that the MT-02 has been independently measured to behave in a particular way.

What this review can—and cannot—say about sound
The available product information establishes the listed design, connections, ratings, dimensions, and some package details. It does not provide a verifiable independent listening review with documented comparisons or test measurements. Retailer language about warmth, detail, or sound character is promotional description, not an independent listening finding.
For that reason, there is no substantiated basis here to call the MT-02 warmer, more detailed, quieter, or better value than another amplifier. If sound character is your deciding factor, look for a review that explains its listening setup, headphones and source, comparison method, and measurements where relevant.

What to check before buying
- Confirm you have an analog line-output source and the RCA cable needed to connect it.
- Match the published output rating at your headphones’ impedance with their sensitivity; do not treat impedance by itself as proof of compatibility.
- Verify which headphone jacks are on the exact unit being sold, particularly if you need 3.5 mm, and confirm whether an adapter is included.
- Check whether your use calls for the listed pre-out or gain options.
- Confirm the model identity, current availability, package contents, warranty, and return terms on the seller’s page. Listings can change.
