Valiant Hearts: Coming Home has appeared on Xbox Game Pass without a prior announcement, according to LEVEL UP. The outlet also reports that Don’t Fret is planned as a day-one Game Pass release during winter, though Xbox’s official listing does not confirm that inclusion or give an exact release date.
What surprise Ubisoft game was added to Xbox Game Pass?
LEVEL UP reports that Valiant Hearts: Coming Home, Ubisoft’s sequel to Valiant Hearts: The Great War, arrived on Game Pass without prior announcement. The story follows James and the Harlem Hellfighters during World War I, combining side-scrolling exploration, puzzles, and action. LEVEL UP says Game Pass Ultimate members can play it at no additional cost. LEVEL UP’s report is the source for the addition and subscription claim; an official Xbox title-specific catalog confirmation was not available in the sources reviewed.

What day-one Game Pass game is coming this winter?
LEVEL UP reports that Don’t Fret is planned as a day-one Game Pass release for a winter window. It says Digital Pajamas announced the window after the game appeared in a horror showcase. No exact launch date is stated, so “this winter” should not be read as a specific month or day.

The Xbox Store lists Digital Pajamas as publisher and Scary Kid Studios as developer. It describes a single-player horror game in which players wake as Fret, a sentient guitar at Harmonic Heights music school, and use stealth, sound, and music-based puzzles. The store listing names PC and Xbox Series X|S, but it does not state that the game is included with Game Pass. View the Xbox Store listing.

Is Don’t Fret confirmed for Xbox Game Pass?
Not by the Xbox sources reviewed. The Game Pass day-one claim comes from LEVEL UP, while the Xbox Store page confirms the game and its product details but not Game Pass availability. Xbox’s general day-one policy explains which plans include qualifying releases; it does not independently verify that Don’t Fret is one of them.
Which Game Pass tier includes day-one games?
Xbox says day-one games are included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, but not Premium or Essential. Xbox also says Premium subscribers can play new Xbox-published games within one year of launch, with Call of Duty titles excluded. These are general plan rules, not confirmation of a particular game’s catalog status. Check Xbox’s Game Pass eligibility information.
