Xbox Announces 9 Games Coming to Game Pass in October 2026

Xbox’s October 7, 2026 announcement lists nine games coming to Game Pass between October 8 and 16. The lineup spans action, adventure, roguelikes and a PC city-builder, but access varies by plan and platform: Xbox explicitly labels seven games as day-one releases, while Beyond These Stars is listed for PC only.

All nine October Game Pass games at a glance

Dates, plan names, platforms and day-one labels below follow Xbox’s October 7 announcement. “Day one” means Xbox marks that title as available on day one with Game Pass; the post does not apply that label to every entry.

Xbox says titles tagged “Handheld” are optimized for handheld play. The platform and plan columns reproduce the announcement’s listed availability; they do not imply that every Game Pass plan includes every title.

What each game is

October 8: Echo Weaver, Forever Ago and Neon Abyss 2

• Echo Weaver is a knowledge-based metroidvania built around time loops and anomalies that alter time.
• Forever Ago is a single-player road-trip adventure following Alfred as he travels north after a personal tragedy.
• Neon Abyss 2 is a roguelike action platformer set in a pixel-art cyberpunk world.

October 13: Battlefield 6, Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis

• Battlefield 6 focuses on large-scale warfare, close-quarters combat and tactical destruction. Xbox says Game Pass Ultimate includes EA Play and offers Ultimate subscribers a 10% discount on eligible EA digital purchases; that benefit is not stated for the other plans listed for the game.
• Deep Dish Dungeon combines survival exploration, dungeon puzzles and crafting, with solo or online co-op play.
• Valor Mortis is a first-person action soulslike about a former soldier in Napoleon’s army, from the creators of Ghostrunner.

October 15: Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts

• Bluey’s Happy Snaps is a photo-powered adventure set in Bluey’s world, playable solo or with two players.
• Chained Beasts is a co-op gladiator roguelike for one to four players.

October 16: Beyond These Stars

• Beyond These Stars is a PC city-builder about developing a settlement on the back of a space whale and managing supply chains.

These descriptions are Xbox’s summaries in its announcement, not independent assessments of the games.

Plan and platform differences to know

Neon Abyss 2 is the only one of the nine for which Xbox lists Game Pass Premium alongside Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The other eight are listed for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. That distinction comes from the announcement’s plan labels, not a claim that the same catalog or features apply across plans.

Xbox marks seven games as day-one Game Pass releases: Echo Weaver, Forever Ago, Deep Dish Dungeon, Valor Mortis, Bluey’s Happy Snaps, Chained Beasts and Beyond These Stars. The October 7 post does not use its day-one wording for Neon Abyss 2 or Battlefield 6; that omission should not be read as a separate claim about when or how either game may become available outside the announcement.

For platform choice, Beyond These Stars is the only PC-only listing. Echo Weaver, Neon Abyss 2, Battlefield 6, Deep Dish Dungeon and Chained Beasts list Xbox Series X|S, while Forever Ago and Bluey’s Happy Snaps use the broader “Console” label. Cloud appears for seven titles; Beyond These Stars lists only PC, and Valor Mortis lists Handheld as well as cloud, console and PC.

Do not confuse these with the “Available Now” games

The same Xbox Wire post separately lists Shape of Dreams, Minecraft Dungeons II and Gears of War: E-Day under “Available Now.” They are not part of the nine titles in the “Coming Soon” lineup above. Xbox also published a separate October 5–9 weekly Xbox release roundup on October 2; that broader roundup is distinct from the October 7 Game Pass announcement, and its release dates are subject to change.
