How do I get Hero gear in WoW this week?
Earn Great Vault credit through eligible weekly activities, then claim the reward after the weekly reset. Season 2 credit began the week of August 11, 2026, but the Season 2 Great Vault gear became available the week of August 18. Blizzard said the first Vault’s World row could reach Champion 3/6; later World-row rewards could reach Hero 1/6. Those are World-row limits, not a universal cap for every Vault activity. Blizzard’s Season 2 schedule and its pre-season details distinguish the credit week from the claimable gear week.
Vault rows do not all use the same track
Raid Vault rewards follow difficulty-specific rules. Blizzard’s patch notes say Raid Finder, Normal, and Heroic raid rewards are placed at the first step of the next harder difficulty’s upgrade track; for example, a Heroic raid Vault reward is Myth 1/6. Mythic raid Vault rewards are Myth 6/6, with stated exceptions for Very Rare items and loot from the penultimate and final bosses. See the 12.1.5 content update notes for those raid-track rules.

Blizzard’s pre-season announcement also identifies separate gear qualities and weekly limits for activities such as World difficulty Lair rewards and Heroic or Normal Prey. Do not assume that a World-row limit describes the reward track or cap for those activities.
When does the Great Vault reset?
The Great Vault is a weekly reward claim, but the exact reset and maintenance time depends on the regional schedule. Blizzard’s Season 2 announcement says Mythic 0 was on a weekly reset in the pre-season week, then moved to a daily reset with Season 2; Mythic 0 drops item-level 292 gear. The published dates are Blizzard’s schedule, not a guarantee that every region has identical maintenance timestamps. Check the in-game calendar and regional notices for the current reset time.

What item level is Hero gear?
The cited Season 2 schedule gives the World-row Great Vault cap as Champion 3/6 for the first Vault and Hero 1/6 for later Vaults, but it does not establish one item-level number that applies to every Hero item or source. Upgrade-track position and item level are not interchangeable descriptions: the track identifies where an item sits in its upgrade path, while item level is a numeric value. For the reward you are pursuing, check its activity and the current in-game item tooltip rather than treating “Hero gear” as a single fixed level.

Upcoming Ascendant Venomstone upgrade option
As of October 7, Blizzard had announced the 12.1.5 update for October 13 and scheduled Ascendant Venomstone availability for the week of October 20. The planned system lets players spend 10 Ascendant Venomstones near the Catalyst in Silvermoon City to raise the item level of a fully upgraded Season 2 Hero or Myth item, or a maximum-quality Tidal Crafted weapon, trinket, or necklace. Blizzard listed these sources for the stones: each Heroic or Mythic raid boss, Mythic+ keystone dungeons at +10 and above, Tier 11 Bountiful Delves, and Nightmare Prey Hunt Champion gear chests. These dates and rules describe the plan announced on October 7; confirm in-game availability after the scheduled rollout.

How do I get the Breath of Blight mount?
Reach a Mythic+ rating of at least 2,000 during Season 2 to earn Breath of Blight, Blizzard’s Keystone Master mount reward. At a rating of at least 3,000, the Keystone Legend reward is Breath of Ruin. These are season-long achievement goals, not random weekly Great Vault drops. Blizzard’s Season 2 Mythic+ announcement also lists an eight-dungeon rotation and says portals unlock by completing a Mythic 10 or higher within the time limit.
What about the Primeval Skyfriend mounts?
Defeating Mythic Ula’tek awards three Primeval Skyfriend mounts, according to Blizzard’s Season 2 announcement. This is a raid-difficulty reward, separate from the rating thresholds for Breath of Blight and Breath of Ruin.

How many hours do I need to watch Twitch for WoW Drops?
For the most recent specific official campaign covered here, BlizzCon 2026, Twitch milestones were 2 hours for 200 Trader’s Tender, 4 hours for the Cuddly Blue Grrgle Housing decor item, 8 hours for the Fluffy Comfy Flying Quilt Mount, and 12 hours for the Venomous Champion’s Illustrious Banner toy. The campaign is over: Blizzard’s Twitch period ran September 12 at 9:30 a.m. PDT through September 27 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, while its YouTube period ended September 13. Those rewards cannot be earned through that campaign now. The dates and rewards are from Blizzard’s BlizzCon 2026 viewer-rewards announcement.

How the campaign’s account and progress rules worked
Blizzard’s campaign FAQ required Twitch viewers to link Twitch and Battle.net and claim the Drop on Twitch or in Drops Inventory. Eligible World of Warcraft Twitch channels could share progress, but watching multiple channels at once did not speed it up. A claimed Drop expired after seven days if the Battle.net account had not been linked. The first Battle.net region logged into after claiming received the items, with delivery taking up to 24 hours. YouTube rewards were delivered automatically when the accounts were connected during viewing. These were terms for that campaign; future campaigns may use different dates, platforms, and rules.

For the ended BlizzCon 2026 campaign, the first checks would have been whether Twitch and Battle.net were linked before claiming, whether the Drop was claimed within seven days, and whether the intended Battle.net region was the first one logged into after claiming. Blizzard said delivery could take up to 24 hours. If those conditions were met but the item remained missing, consult the relevant campaign announcement or Blizzard support; a later campaign may have different eligibility and delivery rules.
