Choose a WooCommerce measurement price calculator by matching it to how you sell: a fixed quantity per box or roll, a customer-entered measurement, or a custom pricing formula. The documented options below cover different needs, but the available evidence does not establish a tested overall winner.
Start with the product’s pricing rule
Before choosing a plugin, write down what the customer enters and how that input becomes a price. “Measurement calculator” can refer to several different jobs: charging for a known quantity in a package, calculating a price from dimensions a shopper supplies, or applying a custom equation.

- Catalog scale: Will you configure each product separately, or apply rules across products or categories?
These distinctions matter for stores selling fabric, flooring, tiles, wallpaper, liquids, food, and made-to-measure goods. A Reddit user described the core need as letting customers type in their required sizes and receive a price; that wording captures the use case, but it is not evidence about any particular plugin’s features. The WooCommerce listing and documentation describe calculators for length, area, volume, and weight, along with user-entered measurements, quantity boundaries, and per-unit pricing ranges. The WordPress.org plugin listing describes formula-based pricing, number fields, live prices, and cart integration. It gives area, length, weight, and quantity as examples. These are directory claims, not independent validation of compatibility or performance.

Match the plugin to the way customers buy
For a fixed box, roll, or package
Look for a setup that accounts for the known quantity sold per unit, rather than assuming every shopper will enter dimensions. WooCommerce’s documentation explicitly describes products sold by a defined quantity as well as customer-defined measurements. Confirm how the product’s actual package size and price will be represented in the configuration.

For customer-entered dimensions
Check that the calculator supports the geometry the product requires, and inspect how shoppers enter values. A fabric seller may need length; a flooring seller may need area derived from dimensions; a room-based job may need several walls. The documented measurement types differ, so compare the needed calculation against the feature descriptions rather than relying on the word “measurement” in a plugin name.

For custom pricing logic
If the price depends on a formula beyond the documented standard measurement types, consider formula-oriented options such as PriceWise or the calculator shown in Barn2’s vendor video. Treat these as candidates for further verification: the available descriptions do not establish current compatibility, support quality, or comparative performance.

WooCommerce’s developer documentation explains that custom units can be added through a settings filter. It also cautions that its developer documentation is supplied as a courtesy for customizations, rather than included customization support. See the WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator developer documentation. A custom-unit requirement may therefore involve development work; confirm the implementation and support arrangement before building a store workflow around it.
