Wonderful Pistachios launched two new Josh Allen commercials on October 12, 2026, built around the Buffalo Bills quarterback’s family connection to pistachio farming. The spots, “Tackle Sled” and “Resistance Bands,” extend the brand’s “The Don’t Hold Back Snack” campaign and mark the second year of its partnership with Allen. The Wonderful Company announced the campaign ahead of the Bills’ Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Rams.
What happens in the new Josh Allen commercials?
Both ads turn an elaborate attempt to resist snacking into a setup for Allen to recommend Wonderful Pistachios. In “Tackle Sled,” a teammate climbs inside a football training sled to keep himself from snacking. In “Resistance Bands,” another teammate straps himself to a wall with resistance bands. Allen points each toward the simpler solution: pistachios. The announcement says the ads include an on-screen disclosure that Allen really owns a pistachio farm. Does Josh Allen really own a pistachio farm?
The campaign’s premise is based on Allen’s family farming background. Wonderful’s 2025 partnership announcement described him as a California Central Valley native and fourth-generation farmer whose family grows pistachios. In its August 26, 2026 partnership announcement, the company said Allen’s family orchards help supply the brand. These are company statements about the partnership and family connection; they do not establish the size or ownership details of a particular farm.
Allen said in the August 2026 announcement: “From the farm to the field, pistachios are part of my roots, and I’m proud to share that story with fans.” The 2025 announcement also reported that California’s Central Valley grows 95% of the pistachios in America; that figure was attributed to the company, rather than presented as a new independent industry measure.

Social content and giveaways
The company said it planned to share behind-the-scenes social content and Instagram giveaways featuring signed jerseys, footballs, and other merchandise. It also announced a one-off tractor-themed Josh Allen bobblehead. These are brand-announced promotions; the announcement does not establish current entry windows or whether any particular giveaway remains open.
Bills Backers bar activations
The rollout also includes announced Bills Backers bar activations, with complimentary pistachios and a life-size Allen standee for fan photos. The October 12 announcement named venues in New York City, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas, Nashville, Fort Lauderdale, Denver, Portland, Charlotte, Rochester, New York, and Hoboken, New Jersey. Where was the Josh Allen pistachio package announced?
On August 26, 2026, Wonderful announced a limited-edition 16-ounce package of its Roasted & Salted In-Shell Pistachios featuring Allen. The company said it was available at select Wegmans, Tops, Walmart, Amazon, and other retailers while supplies lasted. That announcement identifies where the package was offered at the time; it does not confirm present-day stock or a live product listing.
What is the Josh Allen Scholarship?
The scholarship is another part of the partnership, separate from the commercials and product packaging. Wonderful’s 2026 announcement said accepted students receive college application support and up to $12,000 over four years. The company also reported that nearly 40 seniors were accepted in the inaugural scholarship year. Those figures describe the program as announced by the company, not an independent evaluation of its outcomes.

The 2025 announcement described eligibility for first-generation students graduating from Firebaugh High School and pursuing higher education. The 2026 announcement characterized the renewed program as supporting students in Allen’s hometown, but neither announcement is a current application guide. The October 12 announcement establishes the campaign’s launch, creative concepts, and planned activations. It does not provide measured audience reach, sales lift, or ad-performance results, so the launch alone is not evidence of commercial effectiveness. In the announcement, Wonderful Agency president Michael Perdigao highlighted the farming connection, saying: “Because as the on-screen disclosure in these ads say, ‘Seriously, Josh Allen really owns a pistachio farm.’” Allen described returning to the partnership this way: “I’m excited to be back with Wonderful Pistachios for another year because they keep finding new ways to have fun with the farmer side of my life. I get to eat pistachios, make some funny commercials, and remind people I actually know my way around a pistachio orchard. Hard to complain about that.”
