For WNBA playoff tickets, start with the official WNBA playoff schedule or the home team’s official ticket page, then follow the link for the exact game. Before paying, verify the matchup and date, compare seats and the full checkout total, and read the ticket’s delivery, transfer, resale, and refund terms. Those details can vary by event and seller.
Where to buy WNBA playoff tickets
- Find the game on the official schedule. Check the WNBA’s playoff schedule and bracket for the event listing and ticket links where available. Confirm that the game is scheduled, not conditional on a series needing another game.
- Follow the home team’s official ticket route. Team pages may list member presales, public-sale dates, or special conditions. For example, the Atlanta Dream said on August 26, 2026, that first- and second-round tickets would go on public sale September 1 through Ticketmaster after member and priority-list access; it also cautioned that venue assignments could change depending on playoff dates. Check the team’s current page for the game you want.
- For resale, check the exact ticket’s authorized route. Do not assume that one resale site or policy applies to every team. The Golden State Valkyries’ 2026 playoff-pack terms limit authorized online resale for those tickets to WNBAtickets.com. That is a team- and product-specific condition, not a league-wide rule.
- Read the platform’s terms before paying. Ticketmaster lists WNBA events and describes its fan-to-fan resale tickets as reissued tickets. That is Ticketmaster’s description of its own process; some events, rows, or seats may not allow resale. Confirm what applies to the particular listing rather than treating general marketplace language as a guarantee.
What to check before checkout
Make sure it is the right game
Confirm the teams, arena, date, and game number against the live schedule and ticket listing. The 2026 format is a best-of-three first round, best-of-five semifinals, and best-of-seven Finals; a later game may be listed as “if necessary.” A listing’s date or availability can change as a series progresses. The WNBA’s bracket and schedule FAQ are the places to recheck current details.

Compare seats, not just prices
For the same game, compare section, row, seat numbers, view information, and any accessibility or other restrictions shown in the listing. Seat quality depends on the specific location and listing; there is no universal ranking that makes two tickets equivalent.
Compare the full price for the same number of seats
Use the checkout total for the same quantity and comparable seat locations, not an early teaser price. The FTC’s live-event ticket fee guidance says required fees must be included in the upfront price. Applicable fees that cannot be calculated earlier must be disclosed before final payment. Fees may still apply; compare the disclosed total.

No current, reliable league-wide average ticket price or cross-team price comparison is established here. A single team’s price, an old listing, or an anecdotal social post is not a sound benchmark for today’s game. The useful comparison is the current all-in cost for your chosen game, ticket quantity, and seat area.
Check delivery, transfer, resale, and remedy terms
Before buying, find out how and when the tickets will be delivered, whether you can transfer or resell them, and what happens if they fail. Read the terms for the exact team, product, seller, and event. For example, the Valkyries’ 2026 playoff-pack terms say sales are final except as specified in those terms and cap the stated remedy in certain circumstances at ticket face value. That clause does not establish the policy for other teams or platforms.

How to reduce the risk of scams or invalid tickets
- Navigate from a trusted official page. Start at the WNBA or home team site rather than an unsolicited message, social post, or sponsored lookalike. The FTC warns that copycat sites can imitate event-ticket destinations.
- Verify the delivery method and protection. Before paying a resale seller, check when and how the ticket will arrive and what replacement or refund remedy the platform offers if there is a problem.
- Use the supported ticket transfer. A screenshot or image alone is not reliable proof that admission will work. The FTC’s March 2026 ticket-scam guidance, written for the World Cup, specifically warns about paper-ticket and screenshot offers. That is not a WNBA-specific rule, but it is a useful caution when evaluating digital tickets.
- Stop if asked to pay outside the platform. A request to send money directly to an individual or to complete payment off-platform is a reason to pause and verify the seller and terms again.
- Keep your records. Save the order confirmation and the terms that applied at purchase. If something seems wrong, contact the platform through its known official site and report suspected fraud to the appropriate consumer-protection channel.
The reviewed sources do not establish a WNBA-specific ticket-scam rate, so there is no reliable percentage to use as a measure of risk.

Check live dates and availability before buying
As of October 4, 2026, the WNBA listed Atlanta Dream–New York Liberty and Golden State Valkyries–Las Vegas Aces as semifinal pairings, with semifinal Game 1 on October 4 and Finals Game 1 scheduled to begin October 17. The league FAQ lists semifinal dates on October 4, 7, 9, and, if necessary, October 11 and 14; Finals dates are October 17, 19, 22, and 24, with later games dependent on the series outcome. These are time-sensitive schedule details: consult the live bracket and schedule FAQ for current matchups, listings, and ticket links. The FAQ lists broadcast networks by individual game, so people watching remotely should check the game’s own listing.
