The Linkind Smart Light Stick can make a porch fixture glow and flicker like a campfire, then switch back to ordinary white or colored lighting. Set up its flame effects in the AiDot app; Matter lets you use standard smart-home controls through Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, or SmartThings, but the animated scenes stay in AiDot.
How to make your porch light look like a campfire
The Light Stick is an E26 smart bulb with individually controlled LED zones. In AiDot, choose a flame scene and adjust the flame size, brightness, flicker speed, and motion. Linkind lists more than 120 preset scenes, so you can choose an effect rather than relying on a single fixed flicker.
To install it, switch off power to the fixture, let the existing bulb cool, remove it, and screw in the Light Stick. Restore power, add the bulb in AiDot using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, and select a flame effect. Its automatic upright sensor is designed to orient the flame effect for fixtures mounted in different directions.
Can it also provide useful everyday light?
Yes. Linkind rates the bulb at up to 850 lumens and specifies 16 million colors, tunable white, and 160 LEDs arranged across 50 controllable zones. Use the animated effect for ambiance, then choose a conventional color or white setting when you want the fixture to function as a regular smart light.

The 850-lumen figure is the manufacturer’s rated maximum, not a guarantee of how bright the bulb will seem in every fixture. Shade design, bulb orientation, and the selected color or effect all influence the light that reaches the porch.
Will it fit an E26 porch fixture?
It uses a standard E26 screw base, but its T19 cylindrical body is longer than a typical A19 bulb. Linkind lists dimensions of approximately 57 × 131 mm. Check the fixture’s interior space and shade opening before buying, especially if the bulb sits inside a narrow or enclosed housing.

Confirm that the specific fixture is suitable for the bulb and its intended location. The product information cited here does not establish a general outdoor-weather rating for every porch fixture or exposure, so do not assume that an exposed socket is protected from rain simply because it is on a porch.
Does it work with Alexa, Apple Home, or other smart-home systems?
Linkind specifies Matter support for standard smart-light controls with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. Use the platform you prefer for basic controls; use AiDot for flame animation, custom zone effects, and the full scene library. Matter support does not move those richer effects into the other platforms.

The bulb requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and does not support 5 GHz. It is not compatible with Tuya or Smart Life.
Can you use it with a wall dimmer?
No. Linkind says the Light Stick cannot be used with wall dimmer switches. Keep the fixture’s wall control on so the bulb remains powered for app and smart-home control, and adjust brightness through the app or compatible smart-home platform instead.
