Wing and Walmart plan to bring drone delivery to the Denver and Seattle areas in 2027. No launch month or day, participating stores, or final delivery zones have been announced in the sources available as of October 7, 2026. Whether you can use the service will depend on your address, a participating store, and an eligible order—not simply living in either metro area.
When is Wing and Walmart drone delivery coming to Denver and Seattle?
The planned launch year is 2027. Axios Denver reported the two-market plan on October 5, 2026, but did not identify an exact launch date; it also reported that the Denver stores had not yet been specified. The announcement does not establish when Seattle service will begin either. Axios Denver

Wing’s earlier June 2026 expansion announcement named seven other markets—Memphis, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Salt Lake City—rather than Denver or Seattle. That announcement described a phased expansion, so it provides context but is not the source of the later local plan. Wing’s June 2026 announcement
Will your address be eligible?
Not necessarily. The metro-area announcement does not mean every home in Denver or Seattle will be served. Walmart says its drone service is available only in selected locations and through participating stores. Wing says an address-specific delivery zone is shown during checkout. Until the local stores and boundaries are announced, there is no reliable way to tell whether a particular address will qualify. Walmart’s drone delivery page Wing’s Seattle page

How ordering and delivery work

Those instructions describe the existing service generally; the exact Denver and Seattle checkout flow has not been published. Wing Walmart

Wing says its aircraft can fly up to 60 mph and that delivery can be as fast as 30 minutes. Those are general company figures, not Denver- or Seattle-specific delivery promises. Walmart reported an average 23-minute drone delivery time across its broader service in May 2026; that company-reported average does not predict the time for an order in either new market. Walmart also reported a fastest delivery of 4 minutes 44 seconds, which is an exceptional fastest result, not a typical estimate. Wing Walmart’s May 2026 update
Axios Denver described Wing’s general delivery radius as approximately six miles from a launch site. That reporting is not a published boundary for the Denver or Seattle rollout; only the eventual address-specific checkout zone can establish local availability. Axios Denver

How this rollout fits Walmart and Wing’s wider network
Wing’s June 2026 announcement said the companies’ coast-to-coast network plan aimed to reach more than 270 locations and over 40 million Americans by 2027. Wing also said it had passed one million commercial deliveries. Separately, Walmart reported in May 2026 that its service had made more than one million deliveries across 66 stores, four states, and five metro markets, including more than 200,000 deliveries in Texas. The companies’ figures use different descriptions of their networks and milestones, so they should not be treated as interchangeable counts. Wing Walmart
