Verwijder Win32/Neshta met Microsoft Defender: werk de beveiligingsinformatie bij, voer een volledige scan uit en gebruik bij terugkerende detecties de offline scan. Blijft de infectie bestaan of werkt Windows niet meer goed, dan kan resetten of opnieuw installeren nodig zijn.
Stap 1: werk Microsoft Defender bij

Open Windows-beveiliging en ga naar Virus- en bedreigingsbeveiliging.

Kies Beveiligingsupdates en vervolgens Controleren op updates. Defender gebruikt beveiligingsinformatie om bedreigingen tijdens scans te herkennen; Windows Update kan die informatie automatisch bijwerken. De precieze benaming of locatie kan verschillen per Windows-versie en taal. Microsofts uitleg over virus- en bedreigingsbeveiliging.

Selecteer Volledige scan en start de scan. Microsoft beschrijft deze optie als een scan van elk bestand en programma op het apparaat.

Laat Defender de gevonden bedreigingen afhandelen. Noteer de detectienaam en eventuele betrokken bestanden en controleer de meldingen in de beveiligingsgeschiedenis. Microsoft zegt dat Defender Neshta detecteert en verwijdert, maar adviseert een volledige scan met bijgewerkte beveiligingsinformatie omdat bestanden of systeemwijzigingen kunnen achterblijven. Stap 3: gebruik de offline scan als Neshta terugkomt

Open Scanopties en kies Microsoft Defender Antivirus (offline scan).

Sla open werk op en start de scan. De pc wordt opnieuw opgestart; de scan draait in de Windows Recovery Environment, buiten de normale Windows-sessie. Daardoor kan malware zich volgens Microsoft moeilijker verbergen of verdedigen.

Wat als de detectie of schade blijft bestaan?
Als Defender niet kan scannen, Neshta na de scans terugkomt of Windows-programma’s niet meer goed werken, kan de malware Windows blijvend hebben veranderd. Microsoft noemt in dat geval resetten of opnieuw installeren als herstelopties. Herinstalleren vanaf Windows-installatiemedia is een vervolgstap, niet nodig om de eerste scans uit te voeren. De juiste keuze hangt af van de toestand van de pc en de bestanden die je moet behouden. Microsofts probleemoplossing voor het detecteren en verwijderen van malware.

Een herinstallatie kan gegevens van het apparaat verwijderen. Maak installatiemedia met een andere werkende computer en herstel persoonlijke bestanden bij voorkeur uit een back-up van vóór de infectie. Sluit uitvoerbare bestanden waarvan je de herkomst of integriteit niet kunt bevestigen niet zomaar aan op de herstelde Windows-installatie. Microsoft beschrijft de beschikbare herstelroutes in Recovery options in Windows.

Waarom handmatig verwijderen riskant is
Microsofts beschrijving van de specifieke Neshta.C-variant noemt historische kenmerken, waaronder bestanden en een registerwijziging. Die details gelden voor de beschreven variant en zijn geen universele verwijderinstructie. Verwijder daarom niet op eigen houtje systeembestanden of registerwaarden op basis van zulke oude kenmerken; een verkeerde wijziging kan Windows of programma’s beschadigen. Laat Defender de detecties afhandelen en gebruik de herstelopties van Windows als de scanroute niet volstaat. Microsofts beschrijving van Virus:Win32/Neshta.C.
