Will The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Run on Your PC? Current Requirements and How to Check

There is no definitive yes-or-no answer yet: final PC system requirements for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn have not been published. Owlcat has shared specifications for the beta build, but says final requirements will come closer to release. Epic Games Store currently lists Windows 10 and marks the processor, memory and graphics fields as “TBA.” Treat the beta figures below as provisional context, not as proof that your PC will—or will not—run the finished game. (Owlcat’s beta announcement; Epic Games Store listing.)

What are the PC requirements right now?

Owlcat published the following specifications for the beta build. The publisher warns that the beta is not fully optimized and that performance may vary. These are not final release requirements or benchmark results.

Component Beta minimum recommendation Beta recommended specification
Operating system Windows 10 64-bit Windows 10 64-bit
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i5-10400F AMD Ryzen 5 7600X or Intel Core i5-12600K
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile, NVIDIA GTX 1080, Radeon RX 6700M, or Radeon RX 6600 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or Radeon RX 7700 XT
Memory 16 GB 16 GB
DirectX DirectX 12 DirectX 12
Free storage 30+ GB 30+ GB

Owlcat says it will share final system requirements closer to release (Owlcat’s beta announcement). Epic’s listing currently shows Windows 10, while its minimum and recommended processor, memory and graphics fields remain TBA (Epic Games Store listing). The listings describe different information; do not combine the beta table with Epic’s incomplete fields as though they were a finalized set of requirements.

How to check whether your PC is a match

  1. Find your current PC specifications. Record the Windows version, exact processor model, graphics card model, installed memory and available storage. For the graphics card, note the dedicated GPU model rather than relying only on a general label such as “gaming graphics.”
  2. Look up the final requirements when Owlcat publishes them. Use the publisher or store listing, and make sure the figures are for the released PC game rather than the beta.
  3. Compare like with like. Check your operating system, processor, graphics card, memory and free storage against the same fields in the official minimum and recommended tiers. Keep the two tiers separate: meeting a minimum is not the same as meeting the recommended specification.
  4. Read the result as a compatibility clue, not an FPS promise. A component below a final minimum is a likely compatibility or performance concern. A requirements match alone does not establish a particular frame rate; no game-specific final benchmark or performance target is currently provided.
  5. Check again near release. The game is still in development, and both its planned date and PC requirements may change. Recheck the official listing before deciding whether your system is ready.

What a beta-spec match can—and cannot—tell you

If your PC meets the beta figures, that only tells you it aligns with the published beta recommendations. Owlcat cautions that this build is not fully optimized, so beta performance is not a reliable guarantee of how the finished release will perform. If your PC falls short of a beta figure, that also does not prove the final game will be incompatible: the final requirements have not been published.

A reliable personal yes-or-no verdict needs two things that are not yet available together: the final PC requirements and your own complete system specifications. Do not choose an upgrade based only on the beta table; a sensible recommendation would depend on the final requirements and the rest of your PC’s configuration.

When is the PC version planned?

Steam currently lists Q2 2027 as the planned release date. Owlcat’s March 26, 2026 announcement describes a spring 2027 window and names PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG), Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 as planned platforms. Xbox Wire separately says the game is planned for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud, with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate availability from day one. These are plans, not guarantees; check the Steam page and Owlcat announcements for updates.

Does beta access mean the finished PC game will run well?

No. Owlcat announced a closed beta for PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Its April 22, 2026 post says access is for eligible Founders who own Miller’s Pack or the Collector’s Edition and explains how to select a platform. That access and the performance of a beta build do not establish compatibility or performance for the finished PC release (Owlcat’s beta information).
