Not yet confirmed. Microsoft has connected Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 to a future Windows graphics-feature update that will also expand support to NVIDIA RTX Spark, but that is not confirmation that the game will run on RTX Spark in 2027. The announcements do not establish a release date, native Arm version, working anti-cheat, multiplayer support, or tested performance for that combination.
What Microsoft has—and has not—confirmed
In an October 1, 2026 DirectX Developer Blog post, Microsoft said a future update to Advanced Shader Delivery would include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The same post said Advanced Shader Delivery would expand to additional hardware, including NVIDIA RTX Spark. These are two related roadmap announcements, not a statement that the game has been tested or certified on RTX Spark. Microsoft’s Advanced Shader Delivery announcement describes shader compilation and delivery; it does not promise whole-game compatibility.

Microsoft identified Gears of War: E-Day as the first game supporting Advanced Shader Delivery across the expanded Windows device ecosystem. It did not say that Modern Warfare 4 would launch in 2027, that the game would have a native Arm build, or that its launcher, DRM, anti-cheat, or online modes would work on RTX Spark.
Why the RTX Spark connection matters to Windows on Arm
RTX Spark is an Arm-based Windows PC platform
Microsoft and NVIDIA announced RTX Spark as an Arm-based Windows PC platform. Microsoft said PCs from Surface, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI were expected in fall 2026; that was an announcement-era expectation, not confirmation of the availability or final specifications of every model. NVIDIA’s June 2026 announcement describes RTX Spark with up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and up to 128GB of unified memory. Those are vendor-stated platform specifications, not gaming benchmarks or evidence of Call of Duty performance. NVIDIA’s announcement provides those figures.

Emulation does not settle game compatibility
Windows on Arm can use Microsoft’s Prism emulation to run 32-bit and 64-bit x86 applications. Microsoft says Prism is optimized for RTX Spark PCs, but translating CPU instructions is only one part of getting a PC game working. The launcher and DRM, graphics drivers, anti-cheat software, and online services may each affect whether a particular title runs and which features are available. Microsoft’s platform-level statements about compatibility work with anti-cheat providers such as Epic’s Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye do not confirm support for a specific Call of Duty release.
Microsoft’s May 2026 Windows announcement explicitly named Riot’s League of Legends and VALORANT as confirmed titles for the platform. It did not include Call of Duty in that list. That difference matters: a game named in a feature roadmap is not the same as a game confirmed to work on the PC platform. Microsoft’s RTX Spark announcement covers Prism, platform gaming, and the specifically named Riot titles.

What the “over 7,000” Windows on Arm figure means
Microsoft said its Windows on Arm compatibility catalog contained over 7,000 verified apps and games in an August 25, 2026 Windows Developer Blog post. This describes the breadth of the catalog, not a count of Call of Duty releases, a guarantee for every catalog entry on every device, or evidence that Modern Warfare 4 works on RTX Spark. The catalog is useful context for the growing ecosystem, but title-specific support still needs to be established. Microsoft’s Windows on Arm ecosystem post gives the figure.

What to check before treating RTX Spark as a Call of Duty PC
For a definitive answer, look for confirmation tied to the exact Call of Duty release and a shipping RTX Spark PC—not just a Windows feature announcement. The relevant evidence would include:

- A publisher or Microsoft statement that names the game and confirms it runs on Windows on Arm or RTX Spark.
- Confirmation that the required launcher, DRM, and anti-cheat work, including for online multiplayer if that is how you plan to play.
- Testing on an available retail RTX Spark model, with performance and supported game modes reported for that specific configuration.
- Current device specifications and availability, since the OEM models and feature support may differ.
Until those details are published, the sound conclusion is that Microsoft has put Call of Duty on the Advanced Shader Delivery roadmap and RTX Spark among the hardware receiving expanded feature support. It has not confirmed that Call of Duty will run on RTX Spark in 2027.
