Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr. was listed as a full participant on Thursday and Friday of the Week 4 injury report reviewed, after being limited Wednesday with an ankle injury. That is a positive practice update, but it does not confirm that he will play: the Texans report has no game-status designation for him, and the NFL report lists no injury or status entry. Check the latest official Texans report and the game-day inactive list for confirmation.
What the latest injury report says
The Texans’ Week 4 report identifies Anderson’s injury as an ankle issue. It records limited participation Wednesday, followed by full participation Thursday and Friday. The NFL’s Week 4 report lists him as a defensive end and shows no injury or game-status entry in his row. These are timestamped reports, not a lasting statement about his condition; both official pages can change as the week progresses. What “full participation” means
The Texans define full participation as “100% of a player’s normal reps.” It describes how much of the player’s normal practice work he completed; it is not a medical clearance or a promise of game availability. The NFL’s policy documentation also separates the Practice Report from the Game Status Report. (NFL injury report policy.)
Why there is no game-status designation
The Texans report shows a dash in Anderson’s game-status field. The team’s report legend defines “(-)” as “Not listed.” In other words, the report does not list him as questionable, doubtful, or out; the dash does not itself announce that he will play. Daily participation and game status are separate report fields, so one should not be substituted for the other. (Houston Texans injury report; Texans Week 14 report legend.)

What to check before calling him available
- Check the newest Texans injury report. Look for any updated participation or game-status entry after the report described above.
- Check the official game-day inactive list. It is the relevant confirmation of whether Anderson is active for that game.
The reports reviewed do not establish whether he will play or how many snaps he might take. A full practice alone cannot answer either question.
