Sigilbase applies a related idea to records. Its article says each checkpoint is signed with the project’s key and each event is linked by a hash to the preceding event. The official Sigilbase quickstart describes streams as independent ledgers: events are numbered from 1 without gaps, and the hash chain does not cross from one stream to another. It says sealing runs every five minutes, builds a Merkle tree over unsealed event hashes, signs a checkpoint, and provides inclusion proofs.
In practical terms, a signed checkpoint can commit to a set of records, while an inclusion proof can help a verifier check whether a particular event belongs to that committed set. The quickstart’s description is implementation documentation, not independent evidence that any particular record is true or that a verification process was performed correctly.

The supported claim is narrower: linked hashes and signatures can make certain later changes detectable when verification is carried out correctly.
Integrity is not the same as truth
Integrity answers whether data has changed relative to a known point. Truth asks whether the data accurately described the world in the first place. A record can remain byte-for-byte unchanged after sealing and still contain a mistake, a false claim, or an incomplete account.
