First, identify where the image came from
Determine whether the image is an Art Store work or a photo you imported. Samsung documents matte controls for Art Mode and a separate process for importing personal photos; the photo specifications on one Frame product page should not be assumed to apply to every model.

- Art Store work: Try the available matte presentation controls, then compare the selection with another work.
- Personal photo: Check the file format, aspect ratio, and dimensions against instructions for your model and market.
Samsung says Art Mode instructions can depend on the TV’s year and model. Its Canada guide also notes that screens and settings may differ for TVs sold in other regions. Why does Samsung Art Store artwork look cropped?
The matte changes how a work is presented on screen, but Samsung’s instructions do not claim it changes the source artwork’s crop or reveals parts of an image that are not included in the selected work.

Try a different matte
- Open the artwork in Art Mode.
- Press Up on the OneRemote.
- Choose Matte, then try another matte style and color.
- Save your selection.
This is Samsung’s documented control for changing the matte. Available options and menu labels may vary with the TV model and region. Samsung’s US Art Mode instructions describe the steps and explain that matte style and color can be changed to suit the displayed work.
Compare the work with another selection
Preview the work and compare it with another Art Store selection. If the issue appears limited to one work, that suggests a work-specific presentation issue, but it does not establish the cause. Samsung does not describe this comparison as a formal diagnostic procedure.

Why does Art Store artwork look blurry?
Samsung’s cited Art Mode and Art Store guides do not provide a resolution selector or a universal remedy for blur in a particular Art Store work. Preview it and compare another work: if other selections look sharp, the softness may be limited to that work, though the comparison cannot confirm why. If multiple works remain soft, contact Samsung support in your country with your TV’s exact model and year.
Art Store availability and instructions are region- and model-dependent. For example, Samsung UK’s guide describes availability on The Frame and QLED 2024 Q60 models and above in that regional context; it is not a global compatibility guarantee. If a personal photo looks cropped or blurry
Check the photo’s aspect ratio, dimensions, and file type before importing it. The recommendations differ across Samsung product materials, so there is no single image-size rule established here for every Frame generation.

Import a photo using Samsung’s documented US steps
- Copy the photos you want to use to a USB drive.
- Connect the drive to the One Connect Box.
- In Art Mode, select the photos you want and save them to My Collection.
