What makes Quordle harder than Wordle?
In the game descriptions at Quordle.me, Quordle asks players to solve four hidden five-letter words in nine attempts. Wordle, by comparison, asks for one five-letter word in six attempts. Quordle gives you three more guesses, but adds three more answers to find.

Every Quordle guess is applied to all unsolved boards, and each board returns its own color feedback. That means one guess can advance several puzzles at once, but it does not combine their clues into a single answer. You must interpret four independent sets of feedback while working with a shared guess budget.

The difference is not simply that Quordle contains more words. A guess that identifies a letter on one board may leave the other boards unchanged—or rule that letter out on a different board. The challenge is allocating guesses and attention when the same move has different consequences in different places.
How should you adjust your guesses?
Use early turns to collect information
At the start, you know little about all four answers. Favor guesses that test a useful range of letters across the unsolved boards instead of immediately trying to finish one word with a narrow guess. This follows the shared-board mechanic: a broad guess can reveal something on more than one puzzle. It is an information-gathering approach, not a guarantee that any particular opening is best.
Keep a separate record for each board
Read the feedback board by board. Note which letters are confirmed in place, which are present in a different position, and which have been ruled out. Do not treat a letter’s status on one board as evidence of its status on another; Quordle returns separate feedback for each answer.
If you use the on-screen keyboard as a reminder, check the individual board colors rather than assuming a single color tells the whole story. When clues appear to conflict, they may simply belong to different answers.
Shift from exploration to solving
As clues accumulate, look for the board with the most clearly constrained answer. The strategy guidance at Quardle.org suggests prioritizing a board with more revealed letters and completing it to reduce the mental load. This is a practical way to organize attention, not a proven optimal policy. Keep using guesses to gain information on the remaining boards when doing so is valuable.

Should you use a fixed opening-word recipe?
There is no comparative test in the cited strategy guidance establishing a best opening sequence. Quardle.org offers example pairs such as TEARS and CHINO, or ADIEU and SNOUT, to cover vowels and common consonants early. Treat these as examples, not a formula that is known to outperform other choices.
The underlying principle is more useful than memorizing a pair: early guesses can test a variety of likely letters, while later guesses can respond to the clues you actually received. A fixed recipe may be convenient, but it cannot account in advance for how each of four boards responds.
