The Ninja Perfect Temperature Kettle, model KT200UK, makes sense if you will use its temperature controls or keep-warm function—not simply because it has a discount on its listing. SharkNinja’s UK page listed the black model at £69.99, reduced from £109.99 when the price was recorded; that dated listing does not establish today’s price or prove it is cheaper than a particular rival.
What you get with the Ninja KT200UK
SharkNinja lists the KT200UK with a 1.7-litre capacity, six preset temperatures and manual temperature controls. The company also says it can hold the selected temperature for up to 30 minutes. These controls are the main reason to consider it over a basic kettle: they let you choose a temperature rather than always bringing water to a full boil.

The manufacturer specifies 3000 W of power and claims the kettle can boil one cup in under 50 seconds. Those are product specifications and a manufacturer speed claim, not independent test results. SharkNinja also advertises a two-year guarantee. Check the manufacturer’s KT200UK product listing for the current specification and guarantee terms.
When temperature control is worth paying for
You make drinks that call for different water temperatures
If you regularly prepare tea or coffee using temperatures below boiling, selectable settings may be convenient. The value is in control and convenience; there is no evidence here that this kettle produces a quantified improvement in taste.
#1 Best Overall
- 7 ONE-TOUCH PRESETS: Brew at the perfect temperature for Green Tea, White Tea, Oolong Tea, Black Tea, Herbal Tea, and Coffee, or simply Boil for any other needs.
- RAPID BOIL: Boil 1 cup of water in as little as 90 seconds.
- HOLD TEMPERATURE SETTING: Keeps water at the selected preset for up to 30 minutes.
- MANUAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL: Customize your water temperature for any drink type.
- EASY-TO-USE DISPLAY: Illuminated display helps you easily choose your desired preset and features a live temperature reading.
You make several drinks in a short span
The hold function can keep water at the selected temperature for up to 30 minutes, according to SharkNinja. That may save you from boiling again while making successive drinks. If you usually make one drink and switch the kettle off, you may have little use for it.
You only need boiled water
If your routine is simply to boil water, a basic kettle may do the job without temperature presets or a hold function. This evidence does not establish a current like-for-like price for a named basic model, so it cannot show how much extra the Ninja costs against a specific alternative.
How to judge the price
The recorded SharkNinja UK listing showed £69.99 for the black KT200UK, down from a displayed former price of £109.99. Treat both as dated listing figures, not a guaranteed current offer or proof of the kettle’s usual market value. Check the live listing and compare it with named alternatives at the time you buy.

For a fair comparison, weigh the current price against the features you will use, capacity and stated boiling speed. Independent kettle guides can help with broader context: The Guardian’s UK kettle guide compares tested models, but it does not establish that the Ninja is the cheapest choice. Any running-cost figures need to be read with their region, tariff period and calculation assumptions.

SharkNinja lists a replacement water-filter spout for the KT200UK and provides descaling guidance on its product page. Confirm that a part is compatible with the exact model before buying it, especially from a third-party seller.
The available product information does not establish how long the KT200UK will last or whether it is more reliable than a cheaper kettle. A guarantee is not a comparative lifespan study, and individual buyer anecdotes cannot establish typical durability. If long-term reliability is your priority, look for credible evidence covering the exact models you are comparing.
Quick Recap
Who should consider it?
- Consider it if you expect to use selectable temperatures or the hold function and the current price fits your budget.
- Compare simpler models if you mainly want water boiled and would rarely use the extra controls.
- Check before buying for the current price, guarantee terms and compatible replacement parts.
