Why streaming catalogues differ by country

If a movie is missing from your catalogue
On Netflix, a missing title does not necessarily mean the service lacks rights in your country. - Check the profile: Netflix says maturity settings or a title block can prevent a movie from appearing.
- Check the profile language: Netflix says some titles may not be available in the language selected for a profile.
- Check timing: A movie may not have been released in the country yet, or it may have left the service.
- Check location detection: A VPN may affect the catalogue Netflix shows. For its region error, Netflix recommends turning the VPN off as a troubleshooting step.
What to do about Netflix’s current-region error
If Netflix displays “This title is not available in your current region,” the company says it may be unable to determine the viewer’s country. A VPN can cause the problem, so Netflix’s recommended troubleshooting step is to turn it off. If you are traveling or have moved, Netflix recommends signing out and then signing back in. Travel can affect what is available. Netflix says availability may change when traveling outside the EU. For travel to another EU member country, its help page says the home catalogue remains available for a limited period; consult Netflix’s current guidance for the details that apply to your account and trip.
