If an item in Arc Raiders cannot be crafted, open its recipe in the live game and check every requirement shown there. The usual blockers are missing materials, the wrong crafting station, or an unmet unlock or blueprint condition. If materials are missing, the crafting view may let you recycle, refine, or purchase eligible materials without leaving the recipe.
Recipes and unlock requirements have changed in updates, so an older video, wiki page, or forum post may no longer match your game. Start with the live recipe, not an old guide
The recipe currently displayed by your game is the most reliable authority for a craft attempt. It reflects your current version, progression state, and the item’s present requirements. A guide written for an earlier update can show a different material list, station, or unlock level.
Embark’s update history demonstrates why this matters. In the November Update 1.2.0, the requirements for some recipes changed. The ARC Motion Core and ARC Circuitry unlock moved from Refiner level 3 to level 2. That historical change does not tell you which level is required for a particular item today; it shows that copying an old requirement can send you in the wrong direction.

Before gathering materials or changing your loadout, reopen the item and read the complete current panel. Look for a quantity beside each material, a named station, a level or progression requirement, and any blueprint or unlock message. Treat a requirement that is greyed out or marked unavailable as an active blocker rather than assuming the button itself is broken.
What “unavailable to craft” usually indicates

Step-by-step: check the recipe in the current game
- Open the item’s recipe. Select the exact item you want to make from the crafting interface. Do not rely on a remembered material list or a screenshot from another player.
- Read every line in the recipe panel. Check all material quantities, the station name, and any level, blueprint, or other unlock text. A requirement can be easy to miss if it appears below the material list or in a separate information panel.
- Compare the displayed quantities with your eligible inventory. Having an item that looks similar is not necessarily enough. The recipe may require a particular material or a processed form of it.
- Confirm the associated station. Move to the station named by the recipe, or open the recipe from that station’s menu. Not every item uses the same crafting path.
- Check the unlock condition. If the panel names a level, blueprint, or progression condition, meet that condition before troubleshooting the craft button.
- Reopen the recipe after making changes. After obtaining materials or unlocking a requirement, close and reopen the recipe so the interface refreshes. Confirm that the requirement has changed from missing or locked to satisfied.
- Attempt the craft once the panel shows completion. If the action remains unavailable despite a fully satisfied panel, stop changing unrelated settings and document the state for support.
Check the correct station and unlock path
A station mismatch can look like a material problem because the item may be visible in one menu but not craftable there. The station and blueprint guidance available for Arc Raiders comes from a third-party reference, so it should be treated as a practical lead rather than a definitive catalog for every current item. The live recipe remains the deciding source.
Station checks
- Read the station name in the recipe instead of assuming the item belongs at the station you are currently using.
- If the item is listed but the craft control is disabled, leave that menu and open the recipe from the specified station.
- Do not infer that all components or ARC items share one station. Recipes can use different progression paths.
Blueprint and progression checks
- Look for an explicit blueprint, level, or unlock notice in the recipe panel.

Use the crafting view to address missing materials
Patch Notes 1.22.0 added actions intended to keep a missing-material problem inside the crafting screen. Embark describes the change this way: “Quickly acquire missing materials directly from the crafting view.” The same notes state: “Recycling, refining, or purchasing missing materials is now available in the same window to complete crafting.”
When a recipe marks a component as missing, inspect the controls beside that component or in the recipe’s material section. Depending on the item and your current game state, the interface can offer one or more of these routes:
Recycling
Recycling converts eligible items or materials according to the rules shown in the game. Use the preview or confirmation information before committing anything, particularly if the source item is useful for another recipe. If no recycling action appears, that material may not be eligible, or the current recipe may require a different acquisition route.
Refining
Refining handles materials that must be processed before they count toward a recipe. Select the refining option only when the crafting view identifies it as available and shows the required inputs. A raw item in your inventory may not satisfy a recipe that calls for a refined output.

Some missing materials can be purchased from the same window when the game marks them as eligible. Availability, cost, and eligibility are controlled by the current game state; the patch notes do not establish that every missing material can always be bought. If the purchase control is absent or disabled, use the acquisition method the recipe provides instead.
After recycling, refining, or purchasing, verify the quantity again in the recipe panel. The action is useful only if the resulting material is the exact item and form the recipe requests.
Understand the trade-off between material options
The three in-window actions are not interchangeable. Recycling may consume an item you wanted for another recipe, refining may require a separate input and the correct station, and purchasing spends whatever currency or resource the current interface displays. The game decides which action is eligible for a particular component, so do not assume that a purchase button will appear for every shortage or that recycling will return an equivalent item.
Check the confirmation screen before accepting an action. Verify the source item, the output, the quantity gained, and any listed cost. If the result does not match the recipe’s requested material, cancel and return to the recipe instead of spending resources on a similar-looking substitute. No fixed universal price or conversion rate applies to every craft; the current item panel is the authority.

If a material option disappears after you change stations, progression, or inventory, reopen the recipe and read the updated state. Eligibility can depend on the item and the current game state. A disabled control is evidence that the route is unavailable now, not proof that the recipe itself is permanently bugged.
Why old videos and wikis can give the wrong answer
Crafting information ages quickly when a live-service game changes recipes or progression. A page may accurately describe an earlier build and still be wrong for your current installation. Check three things before following an external guide:
- Publication date: Find when the page or video was made.
- Version reference: Look for the update number or season named by the author.
- Direct comparison: Compare its material list, station, and unlock text with the recipe currently shown in your game.
If the two sources conflict, use the live display and treat the older page as historical context only. The 1.2.0 changes to ARC Motion Core and ARC Circuitry are a concrete example of why a previously correct Refiner level may no longer apply.

How the Frozen Trail 2.0 update affects troubleshooting

Collect a reproducible report
- Exact item name, including capitalization or variant.
- Station where the recipe was opened and the station named by the recipe.
- Every requirement shown, with the quantities displayed.
- Whether a blueprint, level, or other unlock message appears.
- Platform and game version.
- Exact wording of any error or disabled-state message.
- What you did immediately before the failure, such as recycling, refining, purchasing, changing stations, or unlocking the recipe.
- Whether closing and reopening the crafting view changed the status.
Submit the report through official support
Use Embark’s Help Center for game support and provide the details above in one report. Screenshots or a short recording can show the completed requirements and the unavailable action more clearly than a general statement that crafting is broken. Keep the report focused on one item and one reproducible sequence when possible.
Do not label the issue as a confirmed platform bug unless an official notice says so. The published material reviewed here does not document a complete platform-specific bug list or a universal fix for this state.
What to check after a major update
After installing a substantial update, perform one fresh recipe check before assuming your previous workflow still applies. Confirm that the item is still listed under the same station, that the material names and quantities have not changed, and that any unlock message is still satisfied. Menus can also move: a feature such as the Outpost or Research Bench may introduce a new place to inspect progression without changing the item’s underlying recipe.
Write down the game version shown on your platform when you test. If the problem appeared immediately after an update, include that timing in your support report, but do not conclude that the update caused it without a reproducible comparison. An update can expose an old progression mismatch, change a label, or alter which actions are offered in the crafting view.

Counting the wrong material form
An inventory item may be a raw input while the recipe expects a refined output. The crafting view’s refining option, when offered, is a better indicator than a similar-looking icon elsewhere.

Without a date or version, a screenshot cannot establish current requirements. Compare it directly with the live interface before spending resources.
Reporting only that “crafting is broken”
Support needs a reproducible item, station, platform, version, requirement list, and message. A precise report gives the issue a better chance of being identified than a broad complaint.

- I opened the item’s recipe in the current game.
- I checked every material quantity shown.
- I checked the station named by the recipe.
- I looked for a blueprint, level, or other unlock condition.
