If Blood pressure is missing from Samsung Health Monitor, first check whether the feature is available for your watch, phone and country. Then verify the devices are paired and updated, activate the phone app and profile, and complete cuff calibration. If the option appears but a reading fails, check calibration and follow Samsung’s measurement-preparation steps.
Check eligibility and regional availability first
A missing menu item does not necessarily mean the watch is faulty. Samsung’s US rollout began in phases on March 31, 2026, and availability depends on the market and eligible devices. Samsung’s current US guidance specifies a Galaxy Watch4 or later, excluding Galaxy Fit, with Wear OS 4.0 or later, plus an Android 12 or later phone. Samsung also says the phone app becomes available after the watch is connected to a Galaxy phone. See Samsung’s US rollout and eligibility notice.

Check Samsung’s current Health Monitor information for the country where you use the service. Regional restrictions apply, and older country lists may not reflect later rollouts: for example, Samsung Ireland’s page carries a service list dated July 28, 2025, while Samsung separately announced the phased US rollout in March 2026. Do not treat that older list as a definitive statement about current US availability. Samsung also warns that resetting a phone or deleting and reinstalling the app while traveling in a market where the service is unavailable can restrict service. Pair and update the watch and phone
- Connect the watch to a Galaxy phone. Turn on Bluetooth, pair the devices, and confirm the watch is connected in Galaxy Wearable.
- Update the watch. In Galaxy Wearable, check for and install available watch software updates. Samsung says a compatible watch may need its latest Maintenance Release for the BP app to load.
- Update Samsung Health Monitor. Install available updates for the app, then restart both devices if Blood pressure is still missing.

Activate the phone app and finish your profile
Open Samsung Health Monitor on the watch. If prompted, install or open the phone app, then activate it on the paired Galaxy phone. Accept the terms and privacy policy and complete the profile. Samsung identifies unfinished profile setup as one reason the blood pressure measurement option may not appear.

Calibrate with an upper-arm cuff
The watch must be calibrated before it can measure blood pressure. Samsung requires a separate upper-arm blood pressure monitor for calibration; the cuff is sold separately. In Samsung Health Monitor on the phone, open Blood pressure and choose the calibration action shown in the app. Follow the prompts to take three cuff readings within 30 minutes and enter each result.

If the option appears but a reading fails
Samsung says movement or a weak optical signal can cause an error. Check that calibration is current, then prepare for another reading:
- Wear the watch snugly, but not uncomfortably, and clean its sensor.
- Make sure your skin is dry. If your hands or arms are cold, Samsung’s Canadian instructions advise removing the watch, gently rubbing the wrist to warm the skin, then replacing the watch and trying again.
- Sit indoors with your back supported, feet flat and legs uncrossed. Rest the watch arm on a table and wait five minutes.
- Stay still and quiet during the measurement; do not talk or move your arm.

Keep the feature’s medical limits in mind
Samsung describes blood pressure readings as wellness information, not a way to diagnose or treat a condition. Do not change medication or dosage based on a watch reading without speaking to a doctor. Eligibility restrictions can also vary by market; Samsung Australia, for example, lists exceptions involving people under 22, pregnancy, certain health conditions and tattoos on the measurement wrist. Consult the instructions for your region and ask a clinician about personal medical eligibility: Samsung Australia’s blood-pressure restrictions.
