ExpressVPN says it has been part of Kape Technologies since 2021. Kape’s 2021 financial reporting identified Unikmind Holdings Limited as its controlling party and Teddy Sagi as Unikmind’s sole ultimate beneficiary at that time. Records from 2023 document a later increase in Unikmind’s voting interest, but they do not establish that the same ownership structure remains in place in October 2026.
Is ExpressVPN owned by Kape Technologies?

Who ultimately owned Kape?
The available records support a historical answer, not a verified October 2026 ownership chart. Kape’s 2021 results named Teddy Sagi as Unikmind’s sole ultimate beneficiary, and Kape’s February 2023 response described Unikmind as wholly owned by Sagi. The May 2023 filing recorded Unikmind’s voting interest in Kape. Those documents establish what the companies reported at those times; they do not confirm whether the chain or percentages subsequently changed.

Does Kape ownership mean Kape controls ExpressVPN users’ data?
Corporate ownership and personal-data control are distinct questions. ExpressVPN’s privacy policy states: “Your Personal Data is controlled by and stored under ExpressVPN, and not by its ultimate holding company, Kape Technologies PLC (UK) or other related entities.” That is ExpressVPN’s stated policy arrangement; it does not remove Kape’s corporate-parent relationship.
