Rockstar describes her as a woman who fought for her family, served time in Leonida Penitentiary and is ready to pursue the better life her mother dreamed of. The “American Dream” in the title is a way to frame that aspiration, not a phrase Rockstar uses in Lucia’s biography.
Who is Lucia Caminos in GTA VI?
Lucia is a central character, not a supporting role. Rockstar presents her and Jason as the two people at the heart of the game’s story. Her biography frames her as determined and willing to take matters into her own hands after a difficult past.

Rockstar says Lucia’s father taught her to fight when she was very young. “Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk,” the company writes in her official character biography. Fighting for her family eventually landed her in Leonida Penitentiary; Rockstar says sheer luck got her out.
What does Lucia want?
Lucia wants the better life her mother dreamed of for their family, dating back to their time in Liberty City. She is prepared to pursue that future herself, and her biography suggests that a life with Jason could be a way out. The game’s promotional material does not establish how their story or relationship ultimately ends.

Who is Jason Duval?
Jason is Lucia’s partner in the story. Rockstar says he grew up around grifters and crooks, spent time in the Army, and later worked for local drug runners in the Keys. His biography sums up his predicament this way: “Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.”
How do Lucia and Jason’s stories connect?
Rockstar’s official game overview says Jason and Lucia have long known the deck is stacked against them. After an easy score goes wrong, they are drawn into a criminal conspiracy stretching across Leonida and forced to rely on each other. Rockstar’s line that “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them” is promotional story setup; it does not reveal the full plot or confirm what happens to either character.
