How well does it perform?

The ACM 828/BA/WH technical sheet specifies a minimum niche width of 560 mm and depth of 490 mm, along with a 7,200 W rating, 230 V, 50/60 Hz and 31.3 A. It lists no plug. These values apply to that white variant only; confirm the data plate and installation instructions for the exact hob before planning a cutout or connection. Electrical work must meet local requirements and may need a qualified installer.
The ACM 828/BA product data sheet lists overall dimensions of 56 × 580 × 510 mm. Overall dimensions and cutout dimensions describe different things: do not use the former as a substitute for the installation niche measurements.
Can it be installed above an oven?
The manual says to preserve the specified clearances, keep the underside inaccessible after installation, and ensure that an oven below has cooling. It warns against installation above a dishwasher or washing machine because steam or moisture could damage the hob’s electronics. Use the installation instructions for the exact variant and have the kitchen layout checked before cutting the worktop.
What should you check before buying?
- Confirm the complete model suffix, finish and service identifier on the appliance or seller’s documentation.
- Ask for the installation sheet that matches that suffix; verify the cutout, clearances and electrical connection rather than relying on family-level specifications.
- Check that your pans are induction-compatible and that their bases suit the cooking zones you expect to use.
- For a comparison with another hob, compare zone layout, flexible cooking, interface, power-management settings, cutout and overall dimensions, electrical rating, cookware limits, safety features, warranty and regional service access. Compare measured heating or control performance only where testing is available for the models in question.
Can you get replacement parts?
Whirlpool Netherlands lists a hob-top part for ACM 828/BA/S. That listing does not establish that the part fits an ACM828BA or another regional suffix. Match the complete model and service identifiers through Whirlpool’s parts catalog or service channel before ordering.
