Soccerina of Time is an unofficial Ocarina of Time ROM hack that turns Hyrule into a soccer game. It is a fan project, not a Nintendo release; the remake referenced in this headline has not been confirmed by the sources cited here.

Credited in recent coverage to Shon J, also known as shonj352, Soccerina of Time reimagines the Nintendo 64 game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as a soccer game. Instead of exploring Hyrule in the usual way, players are put in charge of teams built around its characters and places. It is a fan-made ROM hack, not an official Nintendo game.

Where can you get Soccerina of Time?
Nintendo Wire reported on September 30, 2026 that version 0.3 had been released and pointed readers to the Soccerina of Time channel on the Hylian Modding Discord for access and project updates. That is a dated report, not confirmation that 0.3 remains the latest build. Check the project channel for current availability and its own instructions before trying to obtain or play a build.

Do not assume that a download, a particular copy of Ocarina of Time, or any specific setup is sufficient. The reporting does not establish the required base-ROM region or revision, emulator or hardware compatibility, or controller requirements. What is known about the project’s authorship?
Kotaku updated its October 5, 2026 story to report that the mod’s code was written using generative AI, specifically Claude. This is Kotaku’s disclosure; the available reporting does not independently verify the development process with the creator. It is useful context for understanding how the project was made, separate from the reported gameplay features.

Is the Ocarina of Time remake confirmed?
The articles behind this story frame Soccerina of Time as something to consider while waiting for a remake, but they do not establish that Nintendo has confirmed one. Treat the remake premise as unverified rather than as an announced release or scheduled project.
